I wasnt experiencing this as much as others here as long as I didnt load up on my throws when I didnt have too, but now it just happened to me on a play at the plate and its totally unacceptable. Here's what happened

The AI had bases loaded 1 out with their pitcher up, they lay down a bunt, my 3rd basemen fields it and makes a soft, underhanded, accurate toss to the catcher for the play at the plate for an easy out, I then go to first for the out and I htink I have an inning ending double play but no, I see the AI scored a run because hte catcher did not have his foot on home plate when fielding the toss.

This is sloppy and nonsense. Please patch this.

I totally agree, this is the first bb game that i have ever played with this as a "CONTINUAL" problem, you can see it maybe happening once in awhile, but come on, it happens far to much.

No matter who develops this game they can never seem to get out of their own way with these ridiculous bugs that just crush their games. 2K7 had the home run/framerate issues. 2K8 had the AI stealing base/framerate issue. This year there is a wide sort of problems.

I literally am praying each time a routine ground ball is hit to one of my infielders. If they can patch this, I would spend more time on this game cuz I really do like it and think its fun and I love the tv presentation especially with custom music.

i rather have his foot glue to first base and stretch if he cant stretch then come off the bag, or if he tries but dont stretch long enuff then let the ball get by you...

Use the R-stick for throwing the ball.

I have had NO firstbaseman issues at all since I got the game Tuesday morning.

Ok, so I got the game Thursday night and have been playing non stop. I have yet to experience the 1B foot off the bag, but this morning. I had a slow roller to 3rd, man on 3rd, threw it home to save a run and the catcher didn't tag him for no reason. My only glitch so far.

Well.... then I guess I am not sure of why some folks are having issues, and some folks are not... I know the X Button certainly has issues with the mapping, and the firstbaseman covering the bag while trying to field the throw, but with the R-Stick.. I have been error free...

Have you tried setting your errors to 0 and playing a few games?

Ive played maybe 10 games since release, and have seen it a grand total of 2 times, both times, my throw was in the red <shrugs>

i am also trying to figure out why so many people are having this issue, as i haven't experienced this not once except for when my fielder threw a ball that would pull the 1B off the bag, i have been trying to figure out what it is that some have been doing so as not to have this problem. kind of mind boggling because so many people are running acrossed it but it doesn't seem they are doing anything different then I am

Theres something you guys are doing wrong. I use the stick, and every single time I get the meter in the green the throw is completed. If its all the way in the red i'd say only about 20% of the time is the throw wild or pull the guy off the bag. Seems pretty realistic to me.

I know how to use the throw stick, i used it fine last year. I made a soft toss to my catcher and he just didnt have his feet on home plate. It doesnt have as much to do with throwing as it does with the code in the game. Its broken. How many times do you see professional baseall players just forget to step on a bag? It never happens. Unless its a quick bang bang play

Same here. Also using the stick. Get your fielder in front of the ball, let him field it, don't preload your throw if you don't have to. Take your time, nice easy toss in the green, and Bob's your uncle.

Although it hasn't yet been a problem for me, I believe the issue is real and needs to be addressed.

this is absolutely a problem. Using the buttons, right stick both. Meter in the red or perfectly centered in the green, it doesnt matter. Its happened so much to me i turned the game off in game 5 of the alds because i couldnt take it anymore. And it seems like it usually happens more than once in an inning. I can go 6 innings not having a problem and then three in a row to start off the 7th(game 5 alds) After all that, a can of corn flyball dropped by the center field with 2 outs and bases loaded(all three scored)Then i had to shut off the system and take a walk to cool off. This stuff is getting ridiculous and thats not even mentioning the ai aggressive swinging. A patch has to be addressed. This is like the third time where i had a really bad exerience with this game. Theres is such extremes. There is times when Im in love with the way the game plays and times like the story above that makes it such a frustrating game..... oh well..we'll see hopefully there is a patch because i do have faith that I would enjoy this game very much.


FYI I have played maybe 7 or 8 full games and the first baseman coming off the bag has happened at least 15 times maybe as many as 20 times. It's pretty bad imo....
