I totally agree. Even more so that he is getting older his range and accuracy have drastically decreased.

I now use the LT on EVERY throw I make, whereas I wasn't using it before, also, it might be worth your while to check your fielders' throwing accuracies (for your franchise).

I saw the problem the most from Jeter, of all people. I then checked his throwing accuracy, and (I forget what it was because I edited it) it was like a 64 or something ridiculous.
I agree about using the LT on all throws. im playing on pc and i saw the 1B coming off the bag every once in a while. then i saw someone mention using the LT on throws so i tried it and i havent seen it since unless it was just a terrible throw from the fielder, which to me is understandable. it probably does need to be tweaked a little, but its not this huge bug that alot of people are calling it. Derek Jeter on the other hand is definitely way overrated as a fielder. Dont get me wrong he is a hell of a ballplayer but not the best SS. to be honest Jack Wilson is a better SS than Jeter. Not a better ball player, but a better SS.

All I have to say is Jhonny Peralta has no problems throwing to first in this game he gets it there on the money, now catching the ball is a whole different story just like in RL.

Tell me about it. I think Scutaro averages two errors a game for me so far from this thing...

Seems to be from the SS position most for me. Rare from 3rd and 2nd. LT or not.
I've seen it happen to the AI as well.

weren't we supposed to hear from Ron today about more details on the patch?!

but besides that another question, do you need Xbox Live to get this patch, or do you just need to be hooked up to the internet on your xbox.
cuz i have a wireless adaptor but, I don't wanna now go out and have to buy an xbox live card.

              Don't april fools me please!

patches to my knowledge never require a gold subscription, just silver.

Yes, I believe that is accurate (should be, anyway).

So, the consensus is that we're in the Microsoft/Sony approval period now? That usually runs anywhere from 1-3 weeks, if that's the case.

Holding LT reduces the likelihood of the 1B glitch? That's counter-intuitive, since I thought "quick throw" would mean faster release but less accuracy/velocity. Also, I'm not sure it's only a first base problem, I'm pretty sure I've thrown to 2nd base before and had easy outs called safe because the guy didn't bother to touch the bag.

I use the Cardinals and after about 15 games, I've this happen only once and like some have said, it was my fault as the meter was in the red.

In fact, all of my bad throws to any infield player result when the meter is in the red and the player is not a top notch fielder.

Could be my team.. who knows, but I do not believe this is a bug and would hate for errant throws to be removed in the game.

There was one for Burnout Paradise that did but that's been the only one so far.

True, but it's all part of the New York hype machine. A lot of average players on New York sports teams get the over hype treatment. Jeter is definitely one of them.

Jetter, a New York Hype Machine? The guy has 4 WS rings buddy!, and practically won the 2000 WS all by himself. Sure he's getting old, we all do, but I'll take Jetter over anybody out there right now.

Check out his stats, I'm sure they are not that "average"

come on man....he's not even top 5 in the shortstop position RIGHT now. Yea he was a really good player, but even good players can be overrated.

Come on man what? He's been an allstar for a few years now..sure he's not the top 5 right now, but he was at his time. He's aging now, but his leadership skills are intact!..I'll take that anytime.

Talk to me when I see your 5 top SS make a difference when it counts...in a preasure enviroment like New York winning WS rings!

yea i'm sure Jeter was the sole reason the Yanks won all those world series. It was all because of him. But you forget the roided up Clemens and Petitte and all the other great players of Rivera, O'neill, posada .

Last I checked it was a team sport.

You said you'd take jeter over anybody right NOW. That's being delusional and you know it .

Great leader yes and that he will always have, but a great leader doesn't equal great player. It did in his prime because he was skilled and wasn't slowed down, but now? That statement you made was pretty silly, smelled of homerism and lack of objectivity.
