Re: Update from Ron about patch 2
I saw the "first base glitch" about 2X a game for the first...5-8 games I played (all exhibition).
I have only seen it sparingly since (approx. 25 games), and have not seen it ONCE in the past 12 GAMES.
I now use the LT on EVERY throw I make, whereas I wasn't using it before, also, it might be worth your while to check your fielders' throwing accuracies (for your franchise).
I saw the problem the most from Jeter, of all people. I then checked his throwing accuracy, and (I forget what it was because I edited it) it was like a 64 or something ridiculous.Comment

Re: Update from Ron about patch 2
weren't we supposed to hear from Ron today about more details on the patch?!
but besides that another question, do you need Xbox Live to get this patch, or do you just need to be hooked up to the internet on your xbox.
cuz i have a wireless adaptor but, I don't wanna now go out and have to buy an xbox live card.
Don't april fools me please!Jerm

patches to my knowledge never require a gold subscription, just silver.Comment

Re: Update from Ron about patch 2
So, the consensus is that we're in the Microsoft/Sony approval period now? That usually runs anywhere from 1-3 weeks, if that's the case.
Holding LT reduces the likelihood of the 1B glitch? That's counter-intuitive, since I thought "quick throw" would mean faster release but less accuracy/velocity. Also, I'm not sure it's only a first base problem, I'm pretty sure I've thrown to 2nd base before and had easy outs called safe because the guy didn't bother to touch the bag.Comment

Re: Update from Ron about patch 2
I use the Cardinals and after about 15 games, I've this happen only once and like some have said, it was my fault as the meter was in the red.
In fact, all of my bad throws to any infield player result when the meter is in the red and the player is not a top notch fielder.
Could be my team.. who knows, but I do not believe this is a bug and would hate for errant throws to be removed in the game.Comment

Re: Update from Ron about patch 2
True, but it's all part of the New York hype machine. A lot of average players on New York sports teams get the over hype treatment. Jeter is definitely one of them.Originally posted by jim416You are the 2k Police. :)Comment

Jetter, a New York Hype Machine? The guy has 4 WS rings buddy!, and practically won the 2000 WS all by himself. Sure he's getting old, we all do, but I'll take Jetter over anybody out there right now.

Come on man what? He's been an allstar for a few years now..sure he's not the top 5 right now, but he was at his time. He's aging now, but his leadership skills are intact!..I'll take that anytime.

Last I checked it was a team sport.
You said you'd take jeter over anybody right NOW. That's being delusional and you know it .
Great leader yes and that he will always have, but a great leader doesn't equal great player. It did in his prime because he was skilled and wasn't slowed down, but now? That statement you made was pretty silly, smelled of homerism and lack of objectivity.Comment
