Re: Dare I ask about the PS2 version...
Thanks for the reply, bsb. I sort of expected comments like that as well as baa7's about the amount of attention paid to this. Between HH and The Show, I will be in baseball heaven for the rest of the summer and beyond. Thanks, fellas!

Cant go wrong with those two games. I actually used to love 2k baseball games back in the day, but after 2k5 it was all down hill.Comment

You know, I was thinking of finding my old PC copy of Sammy sosa 2001 and re installing. Didn't that one have old stadiums like Ebbets Field?
You want to talk about players looking like aliens? Remember the first baseball games on the Atari 2600? I think it was called Home Run or something. It was like they took the Space Invader characters and put them on a diamond.

I'm unfamiliar with any console game before 2004. I was a PC gamer for years, then one day stumbled upon NFL 2K4 being played in an EB Games store, after which my gaming life was changed forever!
I've appreciated 2K's baseball games for many of the same reasons I loved HH. I love for example how in both you can lower fielding ratings, and teams will commit a dozen errors an inning. Now THAT'S customization! Unlike The Show, where I literally haven't seen a single ground ball error in the past two years of playing that game, even after lowering players' fielding ratings to 0.Comment
