Went 19 innings this weekend, in Colorado of all places.

3-3, top of the 19th. Karros at second after a lead-off single and a sac bunt by Grudzelanek. Damian Miller knocks a base hit to right field and win 4-3. Guthrie went 3 innings (11th through 13th innings) and Juan Cruz goes 5 innings (14-18) for the win and Remlinger works the 19th with the save.

Again, not to threadjack, but what settings are you using. I really want to get into this game, but fustrated by the lack of challenge on the hardest settings and the timed hitting option.

Yeah, timed hitting has it's flaws.... but for some reason I seem to get realistic strikeout totals so far... my top three pitchers are Halladay, Prior and Hudson... with Prior and Hudson, I'm K'ing like 6-8 batters a game, sometimes as little as 2-3, and only like 2-3 times I've hit double digits. I don't seem to K many with Halladay or my rotation of 4th and 5th starters... which reminds me, I need to put Julian Tavarez out to pasture, that guy sucks a fat one. So far in his last two starts he must've given up like 17 runs.... and on one outing I gave him the hook after giving up 6 runs in 1 2/3 innings. And don't be fooled, he pitches just as well out of the pen!!!

Sounds like you're getting some realistic results on the timed hitting settings which is good. How many games are you into your season are you?

Last I checked and remember, I was sporting a 21-31 record..

The only unrealistic thing I got going right now is that I've had at least 10 instances of 15-game hitting streak, about 5 20-gamers, and 3 go above 25 games, and Giles and Joe Thurston both maxxed out at 31 games.

I've got three batters hitting over .400, highest being .415 (Thurston), but he earned the starting spot about 10 games in, and I got like 4 guys flirting with .400, in the .385+ range. And I HAVE had games where my team'll pile on like 15-20 hits, as will the comp.. I'm not sure to be worried about unrealistic averages or not seeing as 50 games REALLY isn't that far into a season. But I really see no HORRIFIC slumps in the near future that'll knock that average down to anything less that .360 or whatever.. Thinking back, not sure if I'm using FAST pitching or VERY FAST pitching.... have to check when I get home.

Oh, and Thurston prolly would've continued his hit streak, but he was given the day off and I had runners in scoring position with 2 out in the 8th inning in a game I was losing by a run, and chose to pinch-hit him, and he grounded out.

Here's a theory that I just remembered. Do you walk alot? If you don't, you can justify those extra hits as walks that the batter would have gotten in real life (as long as they aren't all doubles, tripes, or hr's for that matter). What you need to look at, if someone's hitting .350 with little to no walks, is his career avg OBP around .350?

Its a good way to justify all those hits.
