i dont think they stopped listening. I think they listened and put out 1 patch and said, after that, we just have to move on to MLB2K10 and make sure that game is alot more polish then 2K9. Sometimes, you just have to moved passed it, yes, it sucks for the people that paid for the game, but sometimes, decisions are always popular we all know that.

I am just speaking on how i see it, i have no inside information on that. I just understand how things work. This next game, has to be alot more polished and alot more fun. I think everyone knows that. Only time will tell.

i hope you are right. i spent a TON of time editing rosters (and really enjoyed it, though it was a chore as time went on). i'd love doing it again next season, but unless this game improves i won't be wasting my money.

I'm probably in the minority but I believe that this is the year the 2k finally gets on track with their baseball game. There's only a couple more years until they lose their license anyway.

If your only a 360 owner, I can can see where your coming from, meaning wanting a really good BB game for once.

People like to hate on 2k, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind having two good baseball games. 2K really has to work on improving their game and I think they had a good start last year.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed the pitcher batter interface. The Show is an excellent game, but the pitcher/batter interface is dull! Sure up the animations, the logic, and remove the bugs. I'd be on board.

I'll agree with you there. I liked what they did with pitching & batting for the player. Too bad the game turned out unrealistic.

Are you talking controls or the pitcher/batter experience as a whole? I can get behind their controls I guess (the pitching in particular). IMO though, there was way too much wrong with everything else (strategy, logic, animations, etc.) to consider the experience any good. Of course, to each his own though.

I think the graphics are a lot better in the 2k series than the show. I like the next gen controls too over the show's "classic" controls.

with that said, I haven't played the show and I am curious why people say it is so good. I've seen some threads in the show forums bitching about that game also.

If the show really is that great, and MLB gets crappy reviews again I might just buy a PS3 and the show.

Well I have the Show. and I agree I like 2k graphics better.
As for the Show.. Oh The Gameplay is Oh SO Great! I mean Everything about it is Great. But I am one who likes PC games.
2k9 well I am seeing problems with the gameplay. So now I understand why people have turned against it. But I see alot of them who have played it a couple of times and trashed it..
I have it tuned pretty good, But it does dumb things at times.
Like when there is a runner on 3rd and a ball is hit to the 2b guy who just stands there holding the ball for 5 seconds and THEN throws to 1st.. Runner at 3rd scores and batter safe.. UGH!

The reason The Show is so highly revered is because that it actually produces realistic results statisically. I actually feel as if I can take a random sampling of box scores from my played games and compare them with a random sampling of box scores from real games and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. The Show has it's flaws, no doubt. But it is the closest facsimilie of statistically realistic basesball since High Heat.

Wow this is weird since this is one of the best things the show has. Batting and pitcher dual. In the show u actually pitch realistic pitch counts unlike 2k where u can pitch an entire game with 50-60 pitches.

im waiting for the day when i can finally sell my ps3 for good. i only have it for mlb the show and when that day comes the next new console will already be out. i swear at this point i wish i could fast foward time until EA got the lisence back for baseball and 2k got it back for football

man i miss MVP Baseball!

then the great guys over at MVP-Mods produced MVP Baseball 2008 or something like that a few years back for PC as a "patch" that completely re-designed the game's interface rosters etc etc

try checkin it out haha

I like the idea of 2K's pitcher batter interface. But as was already stated, it just doesn't produce realistic results. That's not to say it can't if they wanted it too.
