I'm optimistic as well. I've played The Show, and it's indeed worth every bit of praise it gets. I don't have a PS3, though, so I'm hoping that 2K comes through with an admiral effort this year.

I didn't play MLB2k9, but I did play MLB2k8 quite a bit, despite all the flaws it had. I won't even think about getting 2k10 unless they fix all the problems and glitches as well as smooth out the gameplay.

After seeing the disaster that is NBA2K10, I'm not holding my breath.

MLB 2k9 was fairly good last season. This year if they don't try to change everything and just improve the bugs, etc... this could be a good game.

and this has been their problem. Instead of fixing what they have, they just throw more new stuff at the game. They have the core together for a very solid baseball title, if they would just fix the issues the core has.

After playing the show. The only way I see 2k10 being good, is if they make the game like 'THE SHOW"...

No. That would violate the terms of the license agreement as it would no longer just be a first party title. They are limited to Sony platforms.

I would kill to see that game unlocked on a PC, but it's not happening (at least under the current arrangement).

Like last year, I'm more curious than optimistic for 2K baseball. We'll see how VC does in year 2. I still think our best indicator is NHL 2K10, as that series is going through similar transition and issues. We'll see.

I do. I own and LOVE The Show too. Easily my favorite current sports title. I don't bring that here though, and I'm still interested in how 2K's offering turn out. Baseball is my favorite sport...I want as many good games as possible.

Besides, I'm not one to claim sets or whatever with games anyway...lol.

It would be nice if we could have multiple games to choose from. I remember when there were at least five different games to choose from. Competition makes all of the companies work hard and make a good game. It is a shame that people come into hear and especially on Pastapadres website and talk negatively about mlb 2k when ever there is new news about MLB 2k. With competition they wouldn't have to worry about that.

Other than nba 2k I think most 2k games just shoot for playable these days and build on it bit by bit instead of gutting the games every year which is probably smart for 2k.

you are right on the money, my friend!! this is exactly what i've been saying. if they would have patched 2k9 mid-season, showing us that the things we've been crying out for them to fix actually got fixed, then i'd have hope. but i guarantee you they will bypass those things, selling this idea that they've "added" things, all the while forgetting to take care of the issues that are glaring. this is THE reason i have no hope for this game. that although i think they are getting "close" - i still see this title very far away from a complete game.

i still cannot get over the idea that they failed to patch this game at the all-star break. because of this there is no way i'm getting this game until i see a couple months worth of impressions here from the people whose judgment on this game i trust...

I could not agree more, 2K needs to stop adding things. I mean really the controls are good the core of the game is solid but the glitches and bugs are ridiculous. Only thing 2k has over the show is online. And 2k games have the best online in regards to leagues that is. I dont own a ps3 and was planning on buying one BUT this morning I realized why buy a ps3 for ONE single game. There is no point because 360 online is always going to be better. I had a league in mind for mlb the show but that idea and website will just make the move to 2k. I have faith that this game will be a playable one and give us the oppourtunity to have some realistic fun instead of homers ever piitch.

That is what makes me chuckle the most. How 3 years straight do you have the same SIMPLE problem. HR fest it just furthers my knowledge of how stupid some people just can be. Stay tuned for the mlb2k10 league signups im in the process of making site today

im waiting for the day when i can finally sell my ps3 for good. i only have it for mlb the show and when that day comes the next new console will already be out. i swear at this point i wish i could fast foward time until EA got the lisence back for baseball and 2k got it back for football
