      Re: MLB 2K10 Questions

      Rehash a few mentioned earlier.

Does the CPU actually work the count this year?

How doe the lighting look and the progressive lighting through a game. Does it move realistically, or do we start at 4PM and end in pitch black every game like last year.

Does it feel new and fresh, gameplay tightened up?

      Is it fun?

        Thanks Chase, your the man.

I would love to know if the 360 will get a PAL compatible version. 2K8 did but then last year it was back to region locking. Baseball is actually broadcast over here in Australia now so there may be some interest. And I would of thought that 2K would want to get their game out to the largest possible audience.

Cutting out all possible sales in PAL sectors by region locking just confuses the hell out of me. 99.9% of people will not modify their Xbox just to play baseball so I would love to finally get an official response on this issue.

        Cheers Chase.

In 2K9' the Dev adjusting the "OUT of FOCUS BUTTON" must have had too much coffee.

Has he switched to decaf for 2K10'?

Are there finally real walk-off celebrations???? Do we have real celebrations at all this year, cliching, winning important games??? and is the crowd noise incorporated into all of that??? im tired of seeing me hit a walk off homreun in october, to win the pennant, and hearing a silent boring crowd, with no teamate celbration at all!!!

Will the Payoff Pitch mode make its return in 2K10? Since that is unlikely, will there be ratings drops and increases for each of the pitches during the course of the game, based on performance, or lack there of.

What is being done to increase the difficulty to hit spots, as 2K9 made it too easy to hit the corners at will?

                Re: MLB 2K10 Questions

are the CPU batter sliders back? (swing at strike, take strike, take ball, etc)

does the power slider now work? (turn it to zero and you dont still hit home runs at an alarming clip)

do steals now work? last year was impossible with the fastest guys because the delay in taking off once the trigger was released.

do the new queued "hurry up" throws look smooth or awkward? in past 2ks, it always looked unnatural when you would unlease a hurry up throw that just was grabbed and thrown way too quickly for a human.

lots of foul balls? hitting engine feels realistic?

                thanks!

Can they describe what impact, if any, the new pitch selection system with the gestures will have on this.

To piggy back both of these questions/comments...As a user, what is being done to make locating quality pitches with Barry Zito or Daniel Cabrera (considered to be wild pitchers) different/harder than locating quality itches with Dan Haren or Roy Halladay (considered to be very accurate pitchers)?

I think when Brinkman was in charge, he had the philosophy that if you execute a perfect gesture, the result of the pitch should be perfect. Do you agree with this logic and is this still the basis for the current system? If so, how are we supposed to see the variance in accuracy between pitchers of different calibers when so much is dependent upon the users skill?

Has a system been put in place so that, even when gestures are perfected, there is still a bit of randomness in the location of the pitch based on these pitchers? In other words, when I execute perfectly with Halladay, should I experience less margin of error than when I execute perfect with Zito?

I understand sliders can be used to tweak this as a whole and make it easier or harder to be exact with any pitcher, but is there a system in place to widen the gap between the good and the bad?

Again, this assumes the user is at the controls...not the AI.

Basically, under the current system, I think it's fair to say that it's simple to hit your spot with any pitcher because once you master the gesture system, there is really nothing to it. We're hoping another variable has been put into place to aleviate this.

Is it easy to look at stats of batters/pitchers during gameplay? Like pitchcounts/avg/era displayed anywhere during at-bats?

Is there a franchise score ticker/or alerts when a pitcher is warming up etc.

Can you also check to see if stadium animations are back in ...train at minute maid, bernie brewer, apple in citi field, etc.

                    Thanks!

I second the weather effects as well. Would like to know if there will be rain in this yrs game.

Also, is the PS3 version up to par with the 360 version.

                      Re: MLB 2K10 Questions

Hard to get a lock down on whether there are realistic # of homers, steals, Ks, and BBs from just a quick look, so I would ask the questions about what ruined 2k9 for me:

                      1. Can we edit stances, windups, etc... basically what is the create a player like in 2k10?

                      2. Is the fielding fixed? It never was in 2k9, even post patch. Balls still going right through OFers and what not.

and just a personal hope of mine: can you edit whether a player swings with two hands (like Vlad Guerrero or Scott Rolen) or one hand (like Albert Pujols or A-Rod)?

Have the controls been simplified or made more complicated?

Basically, are you overwhelmed trying to play this game?

                              Thanks again Chase much appreciated.

I've been hearing rumors that they left out the ability to edit batting stances and pitching windups (I hope this isn't true) So I hoping to get an answer on that. Will we have teh ability to edit stances and windups?

                              2. Will ther be vendors and fans that walk up and down the aisles during the game?
