Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread

CF for the Reds, in my 1st FULL season in the majors, 2nd season overall. I played the final 68 games in season one and hit over .320 and finished 3rd in Rookie of the year voting. The Reds finished next to last in the division.

This year I started off hitting 4th in the lineup, but have since been moved to third after two awesome series in a row that has seen my average go from under .300 to around .330. My guy is tied for the lead in HR's(16?) and is first in RBI(40 some?). He has been on a real hot streak with a 12 game hitting streak and the Reds have finally gone over the .500 mark for the first time in 2 years. The Reds started the season 1-9 but are now 26-25 and trying to catch the Cardinals who have the best record in baseball right now. I think I'm 4 or 5 games back. I'm really hoping I can at least get the wildcard spot. This mode is addictive as I've not played 1 game of franchise, exhibition, MLB today or any other mode.

Anyone have outfield errors? I have 3. I do not remember ever overthrowing or dropping a ball. My arm is like Johnny Damon's. I always just hit the cutoff man. I do not understand.

Just started my AA 1b/3b player who is at Akron AA. Are there only 2 AA Stadiums? I keep playing at the stadium with the rollercoaster in right field and then sometimes at a stadium with palm trees.

I really hope they fix the pitcher fatigue thing, I keep seeing 160 pitch complete games and it's really driving me crazy.

How do you get doubles? My AVG. is around .300 but all except two have been singles which is hurting my SLG % and my chance to get called up. Did anyone switch any settings or what do you do?

Those will be the only 2 you play in for AA. I think they created 6 stadiums for each level of play, 2 for East, West and Central x AA and AAA ball.

Do you have to complete all your goals to advance? I have all but one and I don't see me achieving it anytime soon.

For the people who I hitting homers on a regular basis, I need some help. I'm in my third season, and my first full major league season. Last year I hit about 10 homers in 100 games, but I was a very impatient hitter. This year, through 5 games, I no homers, but I've been much more patient. My average through 5 is .368, my OBP is .454 and I'm also getting my fair share of doubles and triples (I have two of each).

My question is, how do you guys get so many homers? What is the count generally that your hitting them on? And most importantly, how often do you use the power power swing?

i just turned up the power slider and the contact slider.. right now its at 78 contact slider... 85 power slider.. usually i hit first pitch homers cuz the cpu throws the ball down the middle of the plate.. but usually the count is 3-1.. i hit 24 my rookie year! won ROY and broke a record for a 60 game hitting streak oh yeah!!

My best advice is to go with the pitch. On inside pitches swing early and on outside swing late.

Just hit my first career HR against Seattle in my 2nd game after getting called up. Opposite field against Roland-Smith. Pretty nice. I'm off to a tear, batting 5th for the Royals already.

Just followed that up with my 2nd homer in 2 games. Pulled it over the LF wall off of Ian Snell.

I'll probably finish this half season on this difficulty, then perhaps up it to All-Star when next season begins.
