Where is it freezing? Game froze for me once when I went to advance to the next season, but I figured out why. I was in the AAA World Series, and lost gm6 so from the "MyPlayer" home screen I pressed "A" and advance to next start, then the screen switched to the schedule and the game froze.

I restarted and found that once the playoffs being, and you have that "postseason" menu you have to advance to the next season from there. Now I'm in season2, and have received a spring training invite from the Rockies.

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread

All this game mode takes is patience. I am in my seventh year in the big leagues, 8 if you count my year in AA. I played a year with the AA affiliate of the Pirates, as a 2B, and got called up early in the 2011 season and played out the rest of the season, winning the NL Rookie of the Year. I wasn't happy with my team's record though and got traded to the Red Sox at my request. I switched to SS to avoid Pedroia. There I won a World Series in 2012, SS Silver Slugger from 2012-2016 (2017 is my current season, led the league in HRs three times, led in RBIs and Runs, Batting Average leader 2013-2016, AL All Star 2012-2016, and AL MVP 2014 and 2016. This all came as a result of lots of dedication and smart decisions with my SP. Most importantly, you need to upgrade hitting. Fielding is a cake walk, but hitting can be frustrating. You just need to make use of drills and learning from all of your ABs. Sooner or later, you will be a real All-Star. I apologize to pitchers as I have not tried that aspect of My Player.

EDIT: I am also two career milestones away from a guarenteed trip to Cooperstown.

Does the patch affect pre-patch My Player files?

I cannot get my pitcher rating over 86. it has almost been a full year. all my pitches are at least 80 and im at 99 for the general pitching categories like pickoff and against lefty/righty batters, composure, stamina. What can I do? do the pitches need to be rated higher? this is insane. I set a goal to be rated in the top 15 at my position and I'm at 16 and advancing my rating would surely help. any suggestions?

Has anyone, with their my player, gotten anywhere close to 56 consecutive games with a hit? Let me know...I am quite interested.

I am at 41 right now. But I cant get into I'm so upset you cant even have edited rosters in my player. It wasnt even patch. Its like a hard coded bug. Hitting home runs is too easy with sliders. I have 38 in August. Althought 29-38 Came since the start of June.

alright. i tried my player once with a starting pitcher, and had success, but it was boring as hell for me. got put in the twins minor league system, and gave up just 2 runs combined. whats the best position to play?

I am a pitcher and it is hard, just cause you throw a mean faseball doesn't mean anything. They would eventually get used to it and then say goodbye to that one its going going going gone a 2 run homer.

Considering the lack of difficulty, yes I have done that. With my shortstop who broke the record for homers in a season in 2 months. He went 40 of those games with a homer. Most of those were 2 or 3 homerun games. Why is it all so easy?

i have a starter, 82 overall with a 4-Seam Fastball (83), 12-6 Curve (78), 2-Seam FB (73), Screwball (72), and Change (73). I randomly picked the Mariners. He's a lefty, and hes now 22. I let him take his time in the minors, pitched that whole year in AA, and then got called up from AAA in early Augest the next year. So the year after that, his first full season, he goes 19-7, 1.60 ERA, 212 Ks, 3 HR, 0 BB (!!), 1 HPB, 8 CG, 3 SHO, and 263 IP, and a 7.5 K/9 ratio. I should of had alot more Ks, but for some reason i could hardly strike anyone out in September. He won the Cy Young Award, the AL pitching triple crown, and i just started a new season with him.

I just want to thank everyone for the awesome information you guys have provided in this thread. I'm addicted to the "my player" game modes in any sports games. I haven't started one for this particular game yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I literally went through pages and pages of threads to gain as much knowledge as possible to have a successful player!

how come i can be winning like 5-0, top of the 9th going for a complete game shutout, only 75 pitches, retired the first two batters to face me in the inning, and then my manager takes me out when i have a 94 stamina rating?

When you guys pitch in my player does it show replays? I havent seen one and it's my 4th game in majors. Kinda sucks, replays are the funnest thing to watch especially in a career mode.

There's a workaround. I'm not sure that you can use roster shared rosters, but I downloaded the living rosters and then just edited players before I started My Player.
