Rented the game on Tuesday and I can not put this game down. I didn't really expect much from this game, but as soon as I started the My Player mode, I've been addicted to it.

I made a RF and put myself in the Padres farm system. After spending a month and a half in the minors, I was sent to the major league club and moved to CF because "there was a better player at my primary position." So far, in about 15 games with the Padres, I'm batting .347 with 15 RBIs (no HRs).

Something I've noticed about My Player mode that is a little annoying (it might have been mentioned plenty of times before, but I don't have the time to go through this entire thread to make sure) is the lack of pinch hitters. I was in a game where the bases were loaded (I'm on 3rd) with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and we're down by 1... and the pitcher came up to bat. Of course, he grounded out and we lost the game. That was kind of disappointing.

Year 2: The lineup in Spring Training has 8 RH batters, and 1 lefty. And I turned on CPU Trades and all that stuff, and they've traded away a ton of good players, and let others go in free agency.

And I just had a bug where I caught a grounder, ran over to step on third, and preloaded the button to throw to first as I did.

Except my guy froze a foot away from the base, and didn't throw the ball, so instead of two outs, it gave me 0.

Another annoying thing is how hard it is to level up the speed attributes, because they're so dependent on other factors.

... And the pitchers are throwing complete games even in Spring Training?

Yeah. I wish they'd added something like 5 points every time you advance a base.

Yeah, the running skill points are poorly implemented.

Honestly, in future versions, I'd say maybe they should do away with the buying attributes with skill points, and instead make it all performance based.

Examples: By getting base hits, you increase your contact rating a tiny bit. By getting doubles or triples, you increase speed, contact, and power a tiny bit... and so on and so forth.

I'm quite bad at hitting, as in I'm constantly striking out or weakly grounding out or softly lining out. I also have a terrible time timing any pitch, yet I do a decent job at judging balls and strikes. I've tried strike zone on and off and I get the same result, very bad. Any tips?

Ok, I finally made it to the Big leagues!!...but my debut was awful!...lol check out the video below.

I wasn't that great in AA either but I made the bigs! go figure. My stats in the minors was: AVG.312 1 HR 12 RBI's

I figured I'd show you guys my 2nd MP:

Made a closer, got drafted by the Tigers. I've only been in like 6 games or so. I throw a 2-seam FB and a slurve. I get some K's but I also give up far too many hits imo:

Ugh, after beginning my major league career hitting about .350 after 10 games in the big leagues and with an OBP of almost .450, I'm now down to .230 and .290 thanks to a 1/17 stretch in the past few games

I'm a RP with the Royals and here are the three things I'm sick of:
1) Pitching 3-4 innings when I have 35 stamina.
2) Always staying in to finish the game when I enter.
3) NEVER being pulled in the 9th for Soria when it's a save chance.

I was actually shouting at my TV the other day for Hillman to take me out of a game when my crappy guy was blowing it, but he left me in.

Wow, nice pic! love the uniforms for that team. I might start a different My Player with another team and different position, maybe try pitching too.

Yea, that was neat how Kruk mention the pinstrips, I was hoping to see more replays. I just hit my first HR in the majors and it didn't show a replay, it cut straight to the fast sim front end...ughh!! lol
