Update on my Orioles Franchise (Year 3):
The Baltimore Orioles are back-to-back World Series Champions! I was tied in the series 1-1 heading back into Cincinatti, but their small park turned into a launching pad for my hot bats. None of the final 3 wins were even close as I scored over ten runs in all three affairs. At the same time, while the Reds did punish my pitching occasionally with a long ball, I was able to keep the damage to a minimum and keep them solo HRs most of the time.
Now I'm into the offseason, and against my better judgment, basically re-signed my entire offense even though Vlad will be playing his 19th season and Luke Scott and Brian Robert's best days are behind them. I went with one year contracts on all of them to minimize the damage into the future and I will be able to take it year-to-year.
A couple of notes on the roster:
- Felix Pie is now a full-time outfielder and will be playing regularly in front of the struggling Nick Markaikis (who is being paid $12 mil a year

- Most of my bullpen has been let go, but I still don't have a set closer. I'm going to start the year with Shawn Hill (former AL Cy young winner in 2012), but he has dropped off in his ratings significantly after an injury last year. I may have to address this via trade at some point in the season unless I can find someone to step up.
- The good news is that even though my MLB roster is aging (and showing it), my minor league affiliates are continuing to fill up with solid prospects, especially on the pitching side. I have a number of 4* and even some 5* (potential) candidates in AAA, but none that are really ready for prime time as of yet.
So that's where I stand now, and I will be going for a 3-peat in year 4!
