No trades between CPUs, but there were some signings.
The Twins signed Cristian Guzman and the Red Sox signed Danys Baez.

Why would the Red Sox sign Danys Baez? Don't they have enough pitchers? lol.

          4/3 UPDATE:

He was rumored to be moved in Spring Training. He was rumored to be moved after his 1st start of the season. He is 26-year-old righty Brandon Morrow. Morrow was officially traded to Arizona in what has been their second trade together this year, the first being when the D'Backs sent youngster Daniel Hudson to Toronto in Spring Training. In return for Morrow, the Blue Jays received another 26-year-old and fellow right-hander in Ian Kennedy. Kennedy amassed 194 innings for the Diamondbacks last year, collecting a poor 9-10 record with a 3.80 ERA and 168 strikeouts in what was really his first full season. Arizona also received a pitching prospect (1/3 stars) along with Morrow. He is defined as such by Baseball America:

"Doesn't have remarkable stuff, lacks movement on his pitches, has poor control, has #2 or #3 starter potential, is durable and can pitch late into games."

Reguardless, it's still a nice haul for Arizona and the trade works out for both sides. Kennedy (0-0, 40.51 ERA) is scheduled to start Game 1 vs the Angels after the team finishes up the Twins series and plays three with Oakland.

I've got some free time on my hands, so I'm gonna start up a Braves franchise today. Just wondering though, is there any way to delay the bourn trade until later in the season when he was actually dealt. I mean i doubt there is, just hoping theres a way.

                Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

So I just lost another to the Phillies and am now 1-7 against them this season. Take them off my schedule and I am above .500. With them on my schedule my record is 18-23.

The pitchers I face in the last 10 games though I have always hit well, so hopefully those projections are true. I don't play the Phillies for a little over a month now, so hopefully I can get back over .500 and get into 2nd in the division.

I've got a good schedule coming up in the next 4-5 weeks that I think I can win every series if my team stays healthy, which has been a major problem. This next game I get McCann and Jones back. McCann has only played in 5-6 games so far the entire year. I had Uggla and Conrad out for 15 days together. Venters was out. McClouth is out for 40 days. Overall my team has been hurt a lot, so my record is actually decent when I look at it.

Heyward has also kept his streak up. He now has hit 10 games straight and 19 of the last 22. He has 5 home runs on this 10 game hit streak and over half of the games he has hit at least twice. He's on fire. Unfortunately Prado, Gonzalez, and Freeman are all on cold streaks. I don't really understand how Prado is when batting .315, or Freeman either who has 7-8 RBI's in the last 4 games and has hit 3 doubles and 1 HR in that span. Gonzalez makes sense though. He was on a hot streak for two weeks, but now the last 4 games has gone hitless striking out at least once a game.

I'm hoping my team finally starts to play well once I have a healthy lineup minus McClouth. My pitching staff looks terrible record wise, but isn't. My best pitcher is easily JJ who is 6-1 through 8 starts with a 1.78 ERA. My next best pitcher is Hudson with an ERA slightly over 3, but he gets no run support. The same thing happens with Hanson at 2-4. He's around a 3.2 ERA and has had two complete game losses where my offense was only able to put up 1-2 runs. Lowe, however, has turned the corner. He was 0-4 in 6 starts with a 6.98 ERA, but his last game was great and he finally picked up a win and hopefully is turning around. Then there is Medlen. He's 1-2, but that's because he had an amazing 1st start of the year going 6.0, giving up 2 hits, and walking 2 on the way to a shut out win. Then his next start he didn't have his stuff and was yanked early and lost. This last game he started he was doing fine until the 3rd time through the Phillies lineup he made a mistake and Howard hit a 3 run HR and Medlen lost because my offense only put up 1 to counter that.
“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

                      Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Just restarted my Yankees Franchise because in my old one everyone was getting hurt. So I lowered the injury slider to around 30. Here are the changes I made to the team:

-Yankees Accquire Carlos Santana for Nick Swisher, Joba Chamberlain and Kanekoa Teixeira
-Yankees Accquire Carl Crawford, Gil Wilson(5*) for Russell Martin, Justin Maxwell and Pedro Feliciano
-Yankees Accquire Hunter Pence for Brett Gardener and Scott Olson
-Yankees Accquire Hideki Matsui for Kevin Russo

I picked up Santana because he is much more versatile than Martin who I couldn't do a thing with. Carl Crawford for Brett Gardener was tough. Gardy has a 5 star potential but I'd rather have Crawford who is already in his prime and ready to help me contend. Hunter Pence for Nick Swisher was more tough. I like Swisher. He's a good player but the stats for Pence are much better. It was a very difficult choice, put it that way. Last but not least Matsui who is awesome as the 7th guy. Posada is terrible as my DH. I can't do a thing with him either. And he's costing me 10 million for a year. I'm either going to trade him or let him go when his contract expires. And I did all of this while keeping my budget room above 30 Million.

1st season was crazy. I traded and signed more power hitters at the start of the season..and we led the division all the way up till the trade deadline. Some games were too close so I traded power for defense. It backfired and we ended up losing the divison to the the Twins and not making the playoffs. Adamn Dunn was HR king and Morel was AL Rookie of the Year.

So start of Season 2 we are 12-4 with the last three losses coming in a row. Didnt resign Juan Pierre and Omar Vizquel retired. With all my moves from Season 1 and the start of Season 2..heres my line up(not batting order just field positions)

                          Set Up:

                          Closer:
                          Heath Bell

This season the focus is defense and preparing for the future as the players are getting older and trending downward. Matt Holiday contract was killing me and since we got our ring...I let him go while he had value.

Below were the moves mad from off season untill now..(a couple weeks before All Star Break) Trades are from recent to old.

-John Garland, Sergio Santos for (Reds) Johnny Cueto
-Matt Holiday and Tony Pena for (Padres) heath Bell and Luke gregerson
=Aaron Hill( Blue Jays) for Lonnie Carlin
-(Marlins) Ricky Nolasco vs Carlo Zambrano
-(Dodgers) Jon Garland for Michael Young
-Tyler Green and Terrence Gathagan for Nate Schierholtz(Giants)

Right now...we are one game over Detroit leading the division. Mark Buehrle is one fire. He is currently 9-0 just pitched a shut out with him against the Braves where we won 1-0.

If anyone needs some young talent for their franchise consider trading for Pedro Alvarez of the Pirates. He is a 76 overall but has 5-star potential. I have gotten him in multiple franchises and he has progressed to around a 90 each time. If you leave him in the minors for the first season he will normally progress to around an 85 overall.

                              This is a good idea.
Pedro's overall only went down because he struggled early and got sent down.
He was an 84 I think.
Even at 76, he has nice power.
Imagine his power at 85 or 90!

Update on my Orioles Franchise (Year 4):

Whew! It's been awhile since I've played/updated! Basically, The Orioles are back-to-back champs from years 2 & 3 (failed to make the playoffs in Year 1).

This year, as I stated in my last post, I kept most of the roster the same except for the bullpen where I made a few minor FA signings and called up some young guns.

I'm 28 - 10 on the young year, out to a roaring start and 7 games ahead of the 2nd place Rays in the AL East. The Sawx and the Yanks are in the two bottom spots, although they have been that way early in the year before and come on strong late to be in contention.

The biggest upside this year has been Adam Jones, who is finally coming into Superstardom. He is hitting around .350, with 13 HRs (leads the AL), and 37 RBI (again, leads the AL). His biggest problem in years past has been injuries, so hopefully he can avoid the 2-3 month DL stint that plagued him in the past.

Vladimir Guerrero is finally over the hill. He is playing in spot duty at the DH spot depending on matchups and will likely need to retire at the end of the year. But hey, 19 seasons is a strong career, right?

Matt Wieters has been off to a slow start, but has been coming on as of late. He hasn't had his typical power to start the year, with only 5 HRs at this point, but I know he can put up the numbers, so it's just a matter of time. After all, he was the AL MVP.

I'm trying to get Nick Markaikis and his $10,000,000 contract going, but his power has really disappeared the last two years. He can still hit for average, but I'm not happy having almost a tenth of my payroll dedicated to a glorifed singles hitter/defensive replacement. Hitting 7th in the order isn't a positive either.

Overall, I'm obviously happy with the hot start, although this has usually been the pattern the last few years (along with a stumble late in the year to either lose the division title or just barely hang on ). At this point on it's just about maintaining my distance from whatever team is in 2nd place and hope for the best.
