With updated rosters they are... I tried giving them 24 year old Schaefer 4*, 22 year old Obherltzer 4*, and 26 year old Abreu 3* and they said no.

Just a quick question before I start my franchise with the Jays, do the cpu teams make realistic trades? I remember when I was playing MyPlayer mode with the Reds, they acquired Ryan Howard when we still had Votto at 1B and sent Howard to AAA to rot...

So should I turn on CPU trading or leave it off to make it realistic?

I don't notice trades too much in My Player, but I have a feeling you'll won't see too many of those trades. They'll be some unrealistic ones, but not like that.

Hey I'm starting a franchise with the jays using MK s slide set and I'm new to all this. I usually play 54 games on 5 innings but I'm trying to make it more real. Any advise for the franchise? I'll be lookin to make trades for another sp, reliever and backup catcher. I have started to blog it if u wanna have a look. Any advice would be great as you guys definately know your franchises. Thanks. BTW I am playin 2 series and siming 1 with 9 innings

If you want to know what to do in your franchise, I suggest getting young players because they get better and you have them under contract for a while. I'm not really sure as to why everyone adjusts their sliders, but I don't really change mine because I like just playing on All-Star. It's challenging and for the most part it feels realistic.

Ya i played with MK sliders and went 3-2 in 5 games and just loved the games i had. I am looking to aquire Wandy Rodriguez, Ianetta or a RP and im just looking for some advice. I have been offered good guys for my Farm team. and also im lookin to move encarncacion. What kind of package should i look for for him? i have davis to put OF so it would mean snider or thames to DH. Just checkin on what i can get for Encarnacion to improve my team

Yeah, I played with MK's sliders and went 3-2 in 5 games and just loved the games I had. I am looking to acquire Wandy Rodriguez, Iannetta, or a RP and I'm just looking for some advice. I have been offered good guys for my farm team. And also I'm 'lookin to move Encarncacion. What kind of package should I look to get for him? I have Rajai Davis to put in my OF so I could put Snider or Thames at DH. Just 'checkin on what I can get for Encarnacion to improve my team.

It might not be realistic, but I think you could get Ianetta for Encarnacion + a prospect or two.
Why do you want Wandy's contract?
One reliever I would look at is Ryan Perry of the Tigers (has some nice pitches, is young), he could be a nice piece at the middle or back end of the bullpen. I can't think of more off the top of my head, but as I've said, go for younger players that you can keep for a while.
I also suggest building around your younger players: Snider, Rasmus, Lind, Arencibia, Escobar, Thames, Romero, Morrow, Drabek, and Cecil. The rest (2B, 3B, DH, SP5, and the bullpen) could be changed, and if you can snag a few young guys at those positions, you'll be set for a while and will have a pretty good team.

Oh btw anyone know what a good Injury Frequency slider would be? right now i have it set at 40 but i havent played any of my franchise yet. Still mulling deals in spring training. I want something that still has injuries but not 4 a game lol. something realistic would be nice if anyone has tested any. Thanks

Ya I'm a die hard jays fan. They are exciting and in terms of this game they have a great squad to manage. I am considering encarnacion and AAA center fielder prospect. He's rated 68 overall and my of is very young anyways. I would be getting ianetta. Btw you have any idea good cheap sp I could go after? BTW I'm not starting my franchis until after new Rosters come out. Just lookin at some possibe deals. My link is below if u want to read up on it. It's my first franchise blogging.

They do have some nice pieces and it'll probably be easy to turn them into a good team.
If you can trade Encarnacion and the OF prospect for Ianetta, I'd do it.

ya i have been checkin in on your dynasty now for a few weeks. i think your doing a great job. like i said this is the 1st one ive blogged about so im hoping for it to be a good one. ill be updating it regularly when the new rosters come out which i hope is soon because im eager to get started. Ya I have been 'checkin in on your dynasty now for a few weeks. I think you're doing a great job. Like I said this is the 1st one I've blogged about so I'm hoping for it to be a good one. I'll be updating it regularly when the new rosters come out, which I hope is soon, because I'm eager to get started. BTW, 2 questions:

- Since I only do franchises every once in a while, I don't change the injury slider. I don't notice too many injuries in my franchises anyway.

- In my Phillies dynasty, I play the opener of every series and sim the rest.
In other ones, I usually just sim and don't play too many games because I find myself getting bored with it. The amount of games I play depends on if I'm comfortable with my team. When/if I do a 'Jays one, I might play more games.
