      Team: Pirates
      Season: #2
      Franchise-Type: Single-team

2011 Recap: Phillies won the World Series in 7 games vs the Yankees. Gm 7 was won 12-6, and I actually played that one to ensure my fave team (Phillies) took home the title. It was Lee against Sabathia, and it promised to be a duel on that merit alone but the Phillies came out slugging and chased Sabathia out in 4 innings. Placido Polanco took home the WS MVP honors. Also making the postseason, were the Red Sox, Rangers, Tigers, Reds, Rockies, and Braves.

I have been playing this game a lot over the course of July, and really enjoy my single team Pirates franchise. Plan on posting my 2012 lineup and rotation later.

        Team: White Sox
        Season #2

1st season was crazy. I traded and signed more power hitters at the start of the season..and we led the division all the way up till the trade deadline. Some games were too close so I traded power for defense. It backfired and we ended up losing the divison to the the Twins and not making the playoffs. Adamn Dunn was HR king and Morel was AL Rookie of the Year.

So start of Season 2 we are 12-4 with the last three losses coming in a row. Didnt resign Juan Pierre and Omar Vizquel retired. With all my moves from Season 1 and the start of Season 2..heres my line up(not batting order just field positions)

        Brett Gardner RF
        Matt Holiday LF
        Alex Rio CF
        Adam Dunn 1B/DH
        Paul Konerko 1B/DH
        Alexi Ramirez SS
        Gordon Beckham 2B
        Mike Young/ Brent Morel 3B
        Ramon Castro C

        Starting Pitching

        Jake Peavy
        Mark Buerhle
        Carlos Sambrano
        Matsusaka
        Gavin Floyd

        Relievers

        Pena
        Santos
        Harrell
        Sale

        SU
        Sergio Romos

        Closer
        Thornton

I think this will be the season.

I think i wanna make some moves in the pitching..after I look at the contracts. I think this will be the season we do it.

          Team: Pirates
          Franchise-Type: Single-team
          Season: #2
          Current Record: 16-18
          Franchise Date: May 10th, 2012

I am well into my 2nd season, I've been rolling as of late, going 8-5 in my last 2 weeks of games.

          Here's my 2012 Pirates Rotation:
          #1 R James McDonald: 80 Ovr - 2-3, 2.49 ERA, 1.30 WHIP
          #2 R Ross Ohlendorf: 80 Ovr - 1-4, 2.95 ERA, 1.27 WHIP
          #3 R Kevin Correia: 75 Ovr - 3-3, 3.51 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
          #4 R Javier Vazquez: 77 Ovr - 3-1, 3.43 ERA, 1.35 WHIP
          *#5 L Dontrelle Willis: 73 Ovr - 1-0, 2.55 ERA, 1.36 WHIP

          * Denotes: Willis was called-up from AAA on April 19th to replace RHP Brad Lincoln after Lincoln made 3 horrible starts. Dontrelle has made 3 starts. All other starters have made 7 starts, w/ exception to Vazquez who has made 6; Jason Marquis made one of his starts.

          Here's my 2012 Pirates Lineup:

          1. LF Xavier Paul - 76 Ovr
          2. CF Andrew McCutchen - 90 Ovr
          3. 2B Neil Walker - 87 Ovr
          4. 1B Chris Davis - 80 Ovr
          5. 3B Pedro Alvarez - 91 Ovr
          6. C Chris Snyder - 72 Ovr
          7. RF Garrett Jones - 79 Ovr
          8. SS Ronny Cedeno - 74 Ovr
          9. Pitcher

Bench: OF Jose Tabata, Util Josh Fields, MIF Pedro Ciriaco, C Jason Jaramillo, 1B/3B Andy Marte.

          The Good:
McCutchen, Walker, Davis, and Snyder are all on hot streaks.

          McCutchen's Line: .326/.379/.447, 22 runs, 15/3 (SB/CS), 9 2Bs, 2 HRs.
          Walker's Line: .348/.412/.519, 13 runs, 9 2Bs, 4 HRs, 18 RBI.
          Davis' Line: .285/.343/.569, 19 runs, 9 2Bs, 8 HRs, 27 RBI.
          Snyder's Line: .270/.294/.459, 10 runs, 5 2Bs, 6 HRs, 16 RBI.

          The Bad:
Pirates lead the league in strikeouts. Chris Snyder, Pedro Ciriaco, and Pedro Alvarez account 104 of the team's 308 Ks or 33%. Ciriaco had won the starting SS job out of Spring Training, and produced early on but has regressed to the norm as of late; hitting .254 now and having a period of 5 games where he got 1 hit in 23 ABs.

          The Ugly:
Jose Tabata has been pathetic. He is hitting .184 in 98 ABs (over 26 games), and has struck out 25 times compared to only 4 walks. He begun the year in the #1 hole, but has been relegated to defensive replacement duties late in games, replacing Garrett Jones in the OF. Xavier Paul has filled in admirably since taking over the starting LF gig April 25th, and currently has an 11-game hitting streak, w/ 2 games being multi-hit games.

Tabata could be on the move if his poor bat continues. If I find myself in solid contention in the NL Central I might be moving him for some pitching help. He finished 2010 hitting .252 w/ an OBP of .299, he did have 43 SBs in 58 attempts, but he cannot get on base consistently enough to hit at the top of the order it seems.

well in Season 1 when the game first came out injuries killed me so i got Russel Branyan and Elvis Andrus. (not sure how I got them my memory is blurry...might have been free agents tho) because Paul Konerko and Alexi Ramirez went down before I changed my sliders.

I dont know why I kept them through the season after my players came off injury..so in season 2 there was no reason for me to have Konerko, Dun and Branyan..and Ramirez was the best option at SS for my needs since he has a good bat.

So i delt Branyan and Andrus to the Cardinals for Holliday and Tyler Greene

So it worked out for me..because I didnt regisn Juan Peirre...and I traded Queinton for Gardner so I could have a lead off man. Holliday made up for Quientons bat.

Im new to the slider thing and playing 9 innings, so im going to start a franchise with my Jays. Here is my roster:

                  Bats & Positions:

                  C - Arencieba, Molina
                  1B - Lind, Encarnacion, Teahen
                  2B - Hill, McDonald
3B - Bautista, Teahen, McDonald, Encarnacion
                  SS - Escobar, McDonald
                  LF - Snider, Thames, Davis
                  CF - Rasmus, Davis, Snider
RF - Thames, Snider, Davis, Bautista

                  Starting Pitchers:
                  1 - Ricky Romero
                  2 - Brandon Morrow
                  3 - Brett Cecil
                  4 - Carlos Villenueva
                  5 - Kyle Drabek

                  Bullpen:
                  LR - Jesse Litsch
                  MR - Trevor Miller
                  MR - Casey Janssen
                  MR - Brian Tallet
                  SU - John Rauch
                  SU - Shawn Camp
                  CL - Frank Fransisco

                  Moves:
Im going to first look for another starter such as Wandy Rodriguez, so i can send Drabek back down to develop more. Also i want to move out Encarnacion to make room for Lawrie when he gets called up (since im not starting the franchise for a week or 2) Also another solid reliever might be in the mix.

ok i want to ask if you think this trade is fair since i have noticed that trades are sometimes not fair in this game.

astros (me)- i get 86 ovr sp whose 27 years old and was a 4 star player

braves- they get a 82 ovr 1b whose 27 and was a four star player. and a four star potentail sp.

just asking, also note that i have a good 1b waiting in minors with 5 star potentail.

Atlanta really doesn't need a 1b, because they have freeman.

Did you just give them random prospects? 'Cuz I know the real Braves prospects aren't in the game.

With updated rosters they are... I tried giving them 24 year old Schaefer 4*, 22 year old Obherltzer 4*, and 26 year old Abreu 3* and they said no.

Just tore up the Phillies in the first two games of our series. Won the 2nd game 16-2, hitting 6 home runs, 4 of which were off of Roy Halladay.
