    Awesome news!

    Thanks again!

    Thanks 2K!
And don't forget, there's an INJ Freq slider if you are seeing too little/too much for your liking.

After reading the Franchise Dev Insight I am really looking forward to the injury system they have implemented this year. Will really make Franchise Mode interesting.

      Off-season-
one quick note that do have type A+B free agents so you receive compensation if they sign elsewhere
      Holy Crap!

That's awesome news. I had no idea that those two things above had been implemented for this year's game.

As for the Free Agency discrepancies regarding $$$...

I'm going to control all 30 teams anyways, and I'm not going to edit contracts this year. Just stack teams who would otherwise afford a player while maybe adding a few surprised here and there.

BTW - Didn't AGon sign an extension anyways?

The fact that I can re-sign Pujols for 15 mil a year is ludacris. They think in free agency he could get up to 30 a year, or at least 25. 15 is way, way to low

Im sure you all know stamina only works when you sim, it does not get accounted for when you play games. its a bug but i made sure ronnie from 2k knew about it on twitter he said he was gathering all info to get over to the developers so hopefully we get a patch that will fix it.

Is this for everday position players? If pitchers fatigue normally, then I can deal with it until it is patched

Now 3-2 in ST after losing against Philly 6-3 in extras. I was tied with New York 4-4 in the bottom of the 10th in my current game, but I had to save during the game due to my mom needing my gaming area to work with someone. Therefore, I'll have to finish that one later.

              Wha? What? There is?

I was looking for a slider like this knowing they have INJ Freq/Severity in NBA 2K, but on the screens for MLB2K11 from 8 March and prior there was only Gameplay slider shots.

From the Franchise Dev. Part 1:

When you initially create your franchise you have the following choices, which are also available to change after you create your franchise:

                - Injuries (On/Off)
                - Injury Frequency( 0-100, default is 50)
                - MLB Injury Management Automation
                - Minors Injury Management Automation

All the contracts are out of wack. Exactly like last year, team payrolls are usually like $20 million lower than their team's budget.

I went through the White Sox and everyones contracts are off by a pretty good amount. Konerko was something like $10 million under, Dunn around $8 million under, etc.

This unrealistic contracts would be fine, but the MLB budgets seem to reflect the real teams budget, but the payroll and contracts don't... I'd imagine you'll see most FAs get resigned by their team because they simply can always afford it.

Yeah, I simmed through two seasons and saw players resign for ridiculously low salaries. Scott Baker won the cy young and resigned for 2yrs 926k. I also saw guys like Mark Buehrle (4yr 4.7m) Curtis Granderson (4yr 4.9m) Joe Nathan (1yr 1.5m) take less than market value and thats just what i can remember off the top of my head. It sucks because with the injuries and progression the franchise couldve been fun playing for multiple years.

Did anyone else notice that drafted players only sign 1yr deals?

Yeah mine too last night when I checked it. Exactly the same problem as last year.

Shame because the game plays SOOOO well this year. Looks like I'm going to let go of my dreams of multiple years in franchise and just get going on playing a full season.

I suppose if you don't care that free agency is essentially rendered worthless then franchise will be awesome, but that's tough for me to swallow. Sorry to break it to you. I nearly cried (I didn't...well maybe a little..)

                          Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Played 2 more ST games and won both. The first game Kyle Drabek was pretty dominant when he was on the mound. I decided to baby him and pull him out after the 5th inning.

The 2nd game was a humdinger! I kept pouring it on and had an 8-5 lead heading to the top of the 9th only to see Fransisco Franco blow it and so I was tied up at the Bottom of 9. The first hitter in the 9th was Jose Bautista and with one swing of the bat he CRUSHED the ball 408 feet for the Walk Off!

                          What a feeling that was!

However, I had to take some real bad news as (i'm gonna spell his name phonetically because I can't spell it off the top of my head) Marc Zipshinski went down with an ACL injury that will see him out for 24+ days! Thankfully the Jays do have some depth at pitching and Romero will be back soon.

well I had a pretty exciting s.t. game vs the cardinals with the cards wining 1-0 for most of the game and then 2-1 followed by 3-1 lead but in the bottom the the 8th Jason bay hit a 2 run homer to make it 4-3 then k-rod was able to get out of a bases loaded jam in the 9th to close it out

Playing as the New York Mets (I don't really have an MLB team, so I picked one with a cool color scheme haha), and I'm cleaning house.

In two moves to clear payroll, I decided to trade away Carlos Beltran to the A's for the cheaper David DeJesus, and I also traded away Jason Bay for some pitching help in the form of the Dodgers' SP Jon Garland (SP Chris Capuano and OF Xavier Paul were also involved in this trade). I lose some power in the lineup, but I get some help for what I thought was a kinda weak pitching staff and still have guys that can get on-base and play small ball.

Unfortunately, in my 1-0 victory over the Marlins on opening day, I managed to get Johan Santana hurt and placed on the 60-day DL with a fractured radius (lower arm, I think). Gotta figure out what I'm going to do about that.

                                Issue:
I have the rotion and lineup automation off and the CPU still changes my lineup and rotion. It is very annoying to change back to what I want every game! It seems to only happen when someone comes back from injury. And no I don't hit auto fix lineup.
