    Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

I'm now 5-4 for ST after being shut out by Roy Oswalt and the Phils 2-0. Three of those four losses have been against Philly. And despite my adjusting the contact and power hitting sliders a few times, I have gone eight games in a row without hitting a home run. What do I need to do to hit more home runs?

Sounds like you need to do the same thing that I need to do: stop sucking.

1-0 in my franchise. I played on Pro default, and I won 7-0, but I didnt score until the 7th and 8th inning. I am the Phillies. Halladay was masterful. Going to adjust the sliders a little bit. I traded Russ Gload(73) and David Herndon(77) to the Washington Nats for Michael Morse(77) and Brian Broderick

Thanks, I will try that out tonite. Dont know why I forgot that there was an injury slider.

Has anybody tried to put a starter in for back to back games to see what their pitch count is the second game? I assume it would be tied into their fatigue rating, but maybe it is based on when they last pitched and how many pitches they had thrown so it's a lot of worry for nothing. Unlikely, but a man can hope.
I'd say a (hopefully) simple work around to this would be to just always use your 5 man rotation, then give your position guys days off as you normally would over the course of the season, even if they're at 100% fatigue. I doubt I'll play all 162 games however, and I believe stamina works when you sim, so hopefully there will still be an element of fatigue thanks to the simming.

I'm gonna go ahead and say injuries are a little too frequent - I would recommend to anyone starting a new franchise to drop down injury frequency to either 45 or probably even 40.

Also, after losing my first game 6-0 to King Felix, I bounced back and won the next game 8-0 behind a really strong performance from Trevor Cahill. Simmed final game of series and won 5-4.

Now on to to Toronto, where Gio Gonzalez will be making his first start of the year.

This unrealistic contracts would be fine, but the MLB budgets seem to reflect the real teams budget, but the payroll and contracts don't... I'd imagine you'll see most FAs get resigned by their team because they simply can always afford it.
They are all 20% lower than real life. Just like the last few years.

I believe the reason why the MLB budgets reflect the real life budgets, but the player's pay is 20% lower or so is because the budgets also factor in the Minor League teams' payrolls. This certainly isn't the case in real life budgets, but for the game they have to combine the two.

Well I started a yanks franchise and made it 4 games in but have decided to stop due to the ridiculous fatigue bug. I mean come on, seriously how does a bug like that get through testing?!? I'll be going back to playing my player mode and MLB today games until this debacle is sorted out.

I'll be firing up my franchise mode this weekend with my mets.

I play a shorter season, so I can play multiple years (I hate simming), so hopefully that fatigue issue doesnt bug me too much until it is patched.

your players dont fatigue at all if you play your games. but if you sim them it does fatigue them. so say you play 3 straight games with the same players by the 4th game some should be tired but there not ther still all at 100%.

player a game in my Indians franchise last night. beat chi sox 5-4 with jiar jurgens picking up the win. matt laporta led the way offensively. 3-4 with a two run bomb and RBI single. guy can rip LH pitching.

I am eagerly waiting my game's arrival on Monday.

I am going to be the Blue Jays, play every game and begin on the easiest level and once I crack .500 I move it up, once below .500 I move it down. Then I get a good set for my skill and I can then begin to tweak sliders.
