Mike, you bring up a really good point in that question. I can safely say it didn't really bother me, and I think because I enjoyed the rest of the title enough to overlook it's deficiencies...

Maybe after listening to developer interview(s), and expecting more, is why the lack of fun is there. I am not saying that there are no improvements to the game, but it feels in some area's it might be a small step backward. Once again, I am happy other people are enjoying this title, and hopefully will continue to do so.

Actually 2k did a really cool thing this year, they added the fielding perspective cams from 2k9, 2k10, and of course the new iteration.

Finally got to play a game last night Braves vs Mets , graphics where not bad at all , I don't get what some people are talking about. I play in 1080p hd and it look good. It plays a good game of baseball as well ... even though I was down 5-0 in the 5th inning it still was a great experience. I 'm new to 2K. Funny story , I went to gamestop to pick up my copy and the first words they said were it is "Horrible" ... and they were oh so wrong ... I reallly am going to have a great time learning how to play . Good job 2K

100% agree with this statement. From the batters to pitchers to the fielders, every player pretty much feels different and you can tell the differences in attributes.

Ballparks look and feel outstanding. I did a batting drill in Cleveland at night and was knocked back by how spot on Progressive Field looked. The ballparks just feel alive. It is a shame there is no variable attendance.

There are a lot of glitches, a few of which I have run into. Thankfully, I'm at a point where I have no interest in time-consuming modes like Franchise Mode... where a lot of glitches seem to be hiding.

This game strikes me as the perfect sports game to play casually - the game to play when you have other things going on that hold the focus in your life. I plan on playing a mix of MLB Today matchups and My Player. MLB Today was phenomenal last year and I can't wait to see it during the season this year. The announcers, standings and up to date stats made it feel like baseball. Add in dynamic rosters that account for hot and cold streaks and I'm on board this year.

Playing around with it for a few hours over the past two days, I think it is geared for the casual sports gamer (or at least) the sports gamer who just wants to have fun. The pitching/hitting battle feels fantastic, the environment feels dead on and I just have a lot of fun firing it up for an hour. I'll probably wait a while for glitches to get sorted out before I play My Player, but I definitely recommend the game if you're of a similar mindset.

All I have to say is this game is a lot of fun to play. And the PS3 retail version looks a lot better than the demo IMO. Hitting, pitching, and fielding are all very well done and fun to play. As others have said the way the players feel different is phenomenal. That is very hard to do in a video game but I think 2K nailed it.

There's great symbolism in starting with "Don't give a damn about my reputation" at the title menu.

This is a very fun game with a few oddities (that may be patched). It's Visual Concepts best baseball game by far and I would argue the best 2K title since 2004.

There is just one minor presentation issue I'd wish they fix. Camera shots longer too long, especially on the pitcher after a play. They can last for ten seconds our more! If they cut to the batter stepping into the box at three or four seconds, the broadcast feel of this game would improve by jessi's and bounds.

In case anyone is wondering, I simmed a franchise and the free agent class was garbage again.

Top FA Hitter was Manny Ramirez, 39 years old, 81 overall

Top FA Pitcher was some guy who was a 75, I can't remember who.

                      Garbo.

But the rest of the game is good.

Have not seen any errors in my first 3 game series. Playing on Pro though, which is way too easy. (8-3, 17-0, 15-4) Switching to All Star for next series. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Something that I really liked to see that I never noticed in 10 if it was there was selecting relief pitchers. In the bullpen window, as you scroll down the list of relievers, on the right it tells you what each of the opposing batters' stats are against that pitcher. If they have never faced that pitcher, it tells you what that batters Clv and Plv are against them. Thought this was pretty sweet in determining what reliever I want to put out there against their lineup.

I've played 3 games as well and am seeing about 1 error per game by the cpu. I committed 2 in one game by Furcal throwing into the red on the meter. One went over Loney's head and the other just barely pulled him off the bag.

And I'm really digging this game. It is so much fun to play. Yeah, there are a few oddities here and there, but I am 100% happy with my purchase.

Not going to go into my typical long winded impressions. Just wanted to say I picked up both The Show and this game yesterday and though The Show is a much more refined experience, I feel that in the end I will be playing both games an equal amount of time.

Yeah, there's some weird animations and some of the bugs people are mentioning are troublesome but I am enjoying the heck out of playing this game. Assuming the major problems get patched i.e. HR/Out glitch, fatigue etc. I don't see any reason why I can't get 5 or 6 years into a Franchise in this game. The base in this game is SOLID and extremely enjoyable and I am going to spend the next little while tweaking some sliders and then just go ahead and play.

Typically, the vocal minority drowns out the silent majority. I, for one, want to thank 2K for giving us an alternative that is very different and approaches the game from a whole other angle. Now, get your ish together and release a patch to fix the few problems so we can dive into Franchise and My Player.

Didn't get to play much last night. Only played about 3 innings. Dodgers (me) vs Giants @ Chavez Ravine. Went with Kuroda and the Giants countered with Zito.

I've been a Show guy the last few years, so, this may explain my trouble early on as I was down 2-0 and too tired to continue after only 3 innings. Kuroda got himself out of jams in each inning, but, still gave up 8 hits. Had an error with Barajas who overthrew to Loney on a bunt. Barajas made up for it with an absolute bomb that I thought was leaving the yard. It bounced at the warning track and he got a double out of it.

So far, I am enjoying the game. I like the fielding as well. Looking forward to playing more and starting a 'chise in the near future.
