    just on or locked.

heres what 2k says about the indicators use.:

In MLB 2K11, we display this factor with our new Dynamic Landing Indicator. After the ball is hit, a white circle will appear in the general area of where the ball is going to land. The better your fielder is, the smaller that circle will appear, giving a more exact target for the user to run to. After you move the fielder to that area, a smaller yellow circle will appear where the ball will land. Again, the better your fielder’s ratings, the sooner the smaller yellow circle will appear, making it easier for your player to make the catch. In the video below, you will see the exact same hit fielded by two different players with very different ratings. The first part of the video shows Ichiro, who has a 92 range rating, casually jogging under the ball to make the catch. The second part of the video shows Garrett Jones (51 range rating) struggle to get to and find the landing spot. Even though the play is made in both instances, you can see how much our ratings are actually affecting this situation.

I guess they do that so beginners will know how good a fielder is, though I agree the option should be there for those of us who know what we are working with in the field.

Why is there often a delay before that circle appears? What I don't like is the ball is hit to the outfield and no player is visible and suddenly the circle is there but where is my outfielder? I have outfielders with good to excellent anticipation and range. There are times I don't know which way to move the left stick because I don't see the outfielder until it's either almost or is too late.

I was debating about which system to get it for and after playing the 360 and PS3 demos, I went with the 360 version. The graphics are cleaner and crisper than the PS3.

Custom Music is easier to set up on the PS3.

Either way, I think you will be happy with the game. It is a nice change-of-pace from The Show.
I went with 360 version. Should be home in an hour or so to give it a try ...

Hey I just got the game and I know I got no shot but I still want to try and throw a couple practice games to simulate that million dollar thing. I read it's going to be the MLB today matchups you gotta use but will it be just that initial opening days matchups March 31 when the contest starts at midnightor the April 1 matchups? Just wondering cause I started using the phillies and Halliday but they aren't playing opening day which only has 6 games

Begins on 4/1/11 at 12:00:01 PM ET and ends at 11:59 :59 PM ET on 9/28/11 or upon winner verification, whichever occurs first.

The game will probably freeze with one out to go in your perfect game.

                    1. Has the edit limit been lifted? Meaning you can edit names of every player?

you can only edit generated players' names

                    2. In regards to that does the name on the back of their jersey actually change unlike 2K10?

numbers change tho, wasnt that glitched in 2k9 or 10? i'll check the names with generated guys now.
EDIT: generated names change via the jersey in game.

                    3. What level of minor league games can you play? Used to be all of them in 2K8, then just AAA in 2K9 and then AA and AAA in 2K10.

                    just AA & AAA

Appreciate any insight into any of the above.
                    there ya go!

I take it no one has completed a My player career yet? I'm very curious to know if off season is any different than last year and also if the game still forces you to retire early?

                            Anyone going for the million?

What are the settings you have to play on? Do you have to be an XBL Gold member to qualify? Do you have to record the game?

With my luck the game would probably freeze in the ninth inning with two outs.

I think I've read this post several times before. It still isn't all that funny.

I've had exactly one freeze since I have had the game. I play almost exclusively MLB Today, which is what the Million will be. I have had more freezes in NHL 11 and NCAA 11.

Maybe I've jinxed myself. But freezing has been a zero issue for me in this game.

I'm thinking some folks just have dorked 360's, or the PS3 has additional issues.

That, or the freezes are the result fa done of editing players and teams, and the game isn't tight enough to handle it. I roll with default rosters, which is also what the Million Challenge will be using.
