Just depends on the slot-type(PCI, PCI-E, AGP) on your motherboard, how much you want to spend, and wattage of your power supply. Decent cards are reasonable prices these days.

There was some good video card discussion earlier in this thread. Use the "Search Thread" function and search this thread for "video card". Will bring up all post in this thread with the words "video card".

I just know most use the main search at the top and don't even notice the search in the thread.

Anyways, you can get a 5770 for only $100 after rebate at Newegg.com.....that card has more than enough beef to run this game on max settings.

I have the 5770 and I have an issue I think, I put the MSAA to 8x and I can't edit the MSAA quality, why, am I doing something wrong.

I can't edit it under any setting. Its always greyed out.

I never checked my ATI settings, perhaps its on 'allow application', I've never checked..

is 8x the max is MSAA, because some said some of my screens looked like the shadows had some jaggies, but I have everything maxed out.


On another note, I know a lot of people dont have High end Rigs, but they should make it fair and compare the PC version n vs all other games. The game to me looks sick, in a amazing way. I have to keep going back and looking at my own screens...LOL

Well, I posted a few pages back saying this was being shipped to the house this weekend and had asked about the HDMI glitch, so I thought I'd just share (b/c I'm sure everyone was just dying to know). So far no issues, I've played about 3.5 games so far. This is with a 5750. Loving it so far except for the part where the zeroes were actually the letter "o" in the key. Still look like zeroes to me.

Haven't tried any mods yet, figured I'd give it a few runs with a clean install first. So far so good though. And I agree with the general thought here, it looks MUCH better on my pc than on the 360 (which should be a given, but to me the difference is extremely noticeable in this game).

I have everything maxed too at 2560x1440 but like I said, the MSAA option has always been greyed out. I see some jaggies but just a little on some shadows (only on players). I have the ATI catalyst at whatever the default is. I have never touched it.

I just played the PS3 demo again awhile ago after playing The Show and neither look as good as 2k on PC.


Also DarkKnight.. I replied to your thread at MVPmods. The yellow ball is from the accessory pack. Its supposed to look worn I think , instead of bright and shiny.

I was wondering about that. It seems harder to see during day games when there's shadows between the mound and batters box, especially at Wrigley. I think I like the brighter ball better because my eyes suck, but the rest of the accessory pack is awesome.

Any chance Pena1 could make a version of the accessory pack that still has the brighter ball for us with lousy eyes?

Where are you guys getting the ESPN, Comcast, etc. overlays? I looked @ MVP Mods and they only had them for 2k10. Do those work on 2k11?

If you've used the modtool you can simply replace the worn looking ball with the original white ball. It is #226 in the global.iff file. Open the original global.iff with modtool scroll down to #226 you should see a nice white 2k ball, hit export res, name it and save to your desktop. Next open pena1's accessory pak global.iff file, then do the same scroll down to #226 you should see a worn looking ball, hit import rez, find the one you saved to your desktop click ok and your done.

Can it be edited when its exported? Is that where they get the DDS files? And how do you edit the files (like gamedata.iff) where it says its compressed ? I get an error when trying to open it.
Actually, I get the same thing when I try to open the default global.iff but I can open the global.iff that I downloaded from MVPmpods.


I like the dirty ball, I just dont' like the yellow one. I want one that is a little scuffed.
I suppose I can play around with the editor.
