I'm not a Tigers fan btw (Pirates fan actually), but I live in Michigan so I know a decent amount on the Tigers.
Why do people keep coming in here without reading.... Please read before you post. This thread is if everyone can get traded, obviously Verlander isn't getting traded.

That list is to see if the player value is equal. Not if both teams actually need these players.

By the way, Howard could also play DH, unless you forgot the AL has a DH, and Oswalt would be the number 1 in DET if they traded Verlander.

The one trade that stands out as not really fair in value is the joey votto for tommy hanson and heyward. Other then that I think value wise its pretty good trades. I know they would never happen but I get what your trying to say as for each players value

Ya, thanks for being constructive with your post. Votto is too elite for even the Tier 1. Maybe I should move him out.

If you want the trade to be realistic, you're going to have to look at position needs. Even if the trade value is even, the Yankees would never really trade for a 3B since they have A-Rod.

I can't put position needs into consideration because people can do fantasy drafts and such, there are injuries that no one but the person playing the franchise knows, there are trades that only the person playing the franchise knows, there are up and coming minor league players at whatever position that only the person playing the franchise knows.

I didn't mean votto was so elite. I ment the braves would be trading a 24 year old ace and a 21 year old star for a 27 year old player. As good as votto is I don't think its fair on the part of the braves. The reds are definately winning in this trade by getting heyward and hanson. Just my opinion tho

with the yankees current roster what would be a fair trade for the 0-11 ubaldo jiminez? im a week away from the trade deadline and i saw how horrible he was doing and my team is desperate for pitchers

For the Rockies to realistically get rid of Ubaldo, your going to over pay. Probably Cano. unrealistically, you ca probably get him for a couple of your starting pitchers and a high potential prospect.
