Thanks! I might set it to 30 to start. I don't want a lack of extra base hits. Gotta find a balance

Really 2K, Really.... The Yankee Navy Blue is supposed to be Navy Blue, not the same Blue as the Toronto Blue Jays....

Played 5 innings at best buy of the full version. Mariners(me) vs. phillies. Holliday was a beast and so is Hernandez. There was one odd situation where CPU Rollins had a chance for a double play but failed to tag up second and threw to 1st as if he had-Other than that, everything was on point. Sometimes the shifting of players due to momentum can make routine plays for the cpu difficult at times. The pitching and fielding aspects have always been my most enjoyable parts of a baseball game and I feel 2k12 really excels in these areas. You really have to work to get those pitches in the right spots and the throwing meter makes you really value every throw. Graphics are good enough and an improvement over 2k11 but they could learn a lot from NBA2k12 in graphics dept. Solid effort.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Not having a Full-Time development team working on this game is really starting to show. The biggest part of this is in the Real-Time Presentation/Atmosphere of the game.

It's just god-awful. I just lost a Play-Ball exhibition game Yanks V Jays. Great game & a helluva a Pitching Duel. Bottom 10 Lawrie get's a Double with 1 out. Soriano goes on to SO Escobar. Up steps Thames who's already 3-4. After taking a strike, get's his 4 hit of the game, Lawrie scores Jays Win.

No GW Hit celebration, nothing, nada, ziltch....

I'm tired of people glamoring up 2k's Presentation. I'm sorry but Great Commentary & nice Stat Overlay's are not the only aspect of presentation & when it comes to that other part 2k FAILS Miserably...

I feel like they focused more on gameplay and fixing errors this year than they did on graphics and presentation type stuff. Really happy that's what they did. The game just has to look decent to me, after that all I care about is how it plays.

I'm very happy so far with the gameplay, but this game not having it's own development team (it shares people from the NBA Series) shows even if game play was the BIG focus.

Biggest negative im noticing so far is the ball dies to quickly once it hits the ground, you hit it to the outfield as soon as hit hits the ground most momentum dies with that one hop. Its should continue to bounce with some life in it, but it takes that one bounce maybe another then starts rolling slow. Even does this in the infield.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

I was wondering why I was failing to get gappers for balls hit in the shallow outfield but had room to roll. I thought the fielding speed was up too high but that makes a lot more sense.

I ****ing hate it. I played 14 shut out innings, so you now what that means they also pitched the same to me. Batting shouldn't be that difficult its ridiculous. So I concluded it the most obvious way hitting every single one of their batters with a fast ball to the dick. **** this game I won't play it, I will stick to 2k11.

                            PS3 version

                            What I like:
                            • I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pitching and batting interface. Other than Boxing - best use of the analog sticks in a sports game if you ask me. It's the ONE thing that keeps me coming back to this game [because it aint the graphics.]
                            • Commentary; Dan Stveen and Peter O Keefe (NFL 2K series) are still my all time favorite - but this is a close second. The "baseball sounds" are nicely done too from the crowd, vendors, etc. Well done.
                            • New Front end interface (just like NBA @K12) -I am a fan.
                            • It sounds cliche - but I have fun when playing this game. And while still a ways to go to catch up to the competition - 2K has started to add alot of the little things that make up the baseball experience.
                            • I like the new pitching mechanics. Really forces you to mix up pitches and locations and I don't think it's overdone.
                            • I like the analog fielding tweek. I actually have to pay attention when fielding now.
                            • I really appreciate updating the scoreboard graphics. It was a pet peeve of mine and almost single hand-idly killed the game for me last year.
                            • I thought last years game was flat out UGLY. This years game is now average looking - and if you remove the player models from the equations it's actually good looking. This is not a ringing endorsement but I am trying to be positive.

                            What I don't like:
                            • It's hard to believe this is the same company that makes NBA 2K12 and Top Spin. There is no way around this - the player models are just lacking in every way. I don't get it. I mean I really believe this is 93.7% of the reasons most people don't take this game seriously. If next year they didn't work on anything but the graphics - I would understand. Heck - I would applaud them.It also doesn't help that the other game is one of the best looking sports games like ever. Good Grief - get you act together 2K...and fire all of your current artist and start over.
                            • Camera Angles - In a word...limited. Custom angles ala the competition would go a long way.
                            • Slowdown **** - I am going to give them a a pass because the patch hasn't come in yet via PSN. But right now it sucks.

Overall - I am happy with the game. Another poster said it earlier - if you liked 2K11 you will love this game. If you didn't - I don't know that this game will necessarily make you a believer.

So am I missing an option or something cause I don't have the throwing meter when playing the field. Also, you can't see the running on second base when playing from the pitcher vantage on both offense and defense (could in 2k11). And, it takes forever for the fielder to throw to a base. Baserunners are almost safe most of the time. Bug or nOObness on my part :P
