I've always been curious as to why EA doesn't go out and buy the license for MLB. I supposed they figure not enough people will buy it or its not worth battling with The Show.

Either way if EA did make MLB 13 it would be super hyped up for months then release and fans would commence bashing the hell out of it on this forum until another version comes out in a year and the cycle renews again just like NCAA Football, Fifa, & Madden.

EA didn't buy the last 3rd-party exclusive deal because they said there was no way to make money on it.
2K knew this as well, but since they lost the NFL license, they wanted a big label like MLB to help promote their sports line.

I have a feeling the license will be a lot more reasonable after this year so perhaps EA can get back in the business on the next-gen consoles.
I'm hoping 2K stays in the business too. Having 3 games to choose from would be awesome.

So, the infield fly rule was in 2k11? Wasn't 2k11 the one where there were no errors? Was 2k9 or 10 the one where there were no stolen base attempts by the CPU? Which year was it that the CPU yanked the starters too early? Every year has had just horrid roster management by the CPU..

Let's just hope that 2k13 has ALL of "their bases covered".

A few things that I feel would make it a better game than 2K12 is:

            1) Fix the colour schemes so that teams have the correct colours
            2) Pony up a bit of money and get some real advertisers in the game. They had Pepsi for a few years, and I thought it was a nice addition, especially at Comerica with the Pepsi Porch.
            3) Re-add in the Top and Bottom inning indicator. Not sure why it was removed.
            4) Bring back some of the cameras that were available in 2K9 and 2K10. I can't remember specifics, but there were a few great ones IMO.
            5) Ensure that MLB Today and MLB Today Season will actually run for the entire season, and not cause the freezing issues there were present in 2K12

            Just my 2 cents.
