Hate to break it to you, but if the "casual fan" sees Madden side-by-side with anything, he picks up Madden. In that sense, it doesn't make a big difference when we come out, as long as it's before the baseball season starts. Even if we did plan to come out at the same time, EA would just call up Sony and get their game out a week before.

Any plans for releasing the game earlier?

I'm not an inherent fan of ESPN, but I have been happier with their products than with EA's. That's one of the main reasons why I'm willing to wait. Also, since ESPN is coming out later, that gave them the ability to include the recent blockbuster trades into their rosters, which makes them playable online. MVP won't have those roster changes, and that made a difference in my decision as well. MVP also isn't playable over XBox Live. And that's a very big factor.

Like FatPitcher said, as long as it comes out before the start of the season. Earlier isn't always better.

I don't care which game comes out on top, as long as whichever is the BEST game keeps getting better, and keeps on being released. As of last year, Sega's on top. And they have a new game coming out in a month that appears to have everything I'm looking for.

I can't ask for much more than that.

Yeah, I wish ESPN was coming out earlier. I remember the same thing happened with ESPN NFL. People were already a year into their Madden franchise when it came out and didn't really notice that it was a far superior game.

It's not a smart move by Sega at all. I could understand if Sega Sports games sold over 500,000 copies per console but they aint selling so you gotta go head to head. This is like going against the worlds fastest man and giving him a HUGE headstart impossible to catch. To beat a beast u have to be a beast keep takin it easy and you'll be looking for jobs at EA soon.
