The good news for fans of the series is that the gameplay has remained intact and, for the most part, has been improved, though only slightly. If you believe that games, especially sports games, are all about the gameplay, then you have nothing to fear. ESPN Major League Baseball continues the tradition of VC games, having the most sophisticated AI and some of the more accurate gameplay in the biz.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

That was all I needed to hear. What that tells me is what I already knew...that the game plays the most solid game of baseball of all of the games, it just doesn't have all the fluff like the others had. I say who needs minor leagues, rule 5, and insane diving catches when you can have smart AI, homeruns by leftys, player fatigue, wind, and player progression that works.

    I'm sold!
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

Exactly, not to mention good online play for Xbox. WSB (ESPN) has had the gameplay down for the last year, or so. And thats what matters most when it comes to baseball..gameplay that is.

Ummm...the game isn't out yet cheif, so how do you know this? Reading that review told you this? Do I need to get my eyes examined, or should I put my fanboy goggles on...because i just thought the reviewer said the game was solid...not the most solid game of baseball out of all the baseball games. You just want to think this to be the truth since you're the one that's going to spend your money on it. Stop being so one dimensional people, just cuz your buying this game, doesn't mean it's any better or worse than it's competition. I have both MVP, ASB and they're awesome, i'm sure ESPN will be great as well...no better...no worse...it's just your preference.

                              I'm sold!

Oh, it's you. Well let me just say this, chief...I played 162 games last year and I know how good the AI is and I know how good the fielding feels. He said, and I quote:

No mention of MVP or All Star there, chief. Again, there is player progression, you can hit HRs with leftys, and I'm just guessing here, but I bet you won't see 25 diving catches made by overweight first basemen in every game.

So for me, chief...gameplay is king...you can have the fluff.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?
