Re: IGN Review---8.4
Strange review. Seemed surpised about some things that make me question how much he played the game last year. He acted like it was shocking the swing animations were bad. Did he see them last year? The crowd was also pretty quiet last year, so it isn't that crazy it sucks this year.
He kept saying how the game took a step backwards, but never mentioned how it did. He said a few small graphical things weren't as good, and that's it.
I also don't really trust a review that says High Heat's batting was just press up for a flyball, down for a groundball. Even MVP is only like that to an extent.
And absolutely no mention of the base stealing issues from last year.
This isn't any different from every review released so far this year. Didn't think the game was great, also didn't think it was bad. And really doesn't tell me things I want to know to help me make my own decision.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

The good news for fans of the series is that the gameplay has remained intact and, for the most part, has been improved, though only slightly. If you believe that games, especially sports games, are all about the gameplay, then you have nothing to fear. ESPN Major League Baseball continues the tradition of VC games, having the most sophisticated AI and some of the more accurate gameplay in the biz.

That was all I needed to hear. What that tells me is what I already knew...that the game plays the most solid game of baseball of all of the games, it just doesn't have all the fluff like the others had. I say who needs minor leagues, rule 5, and insane diving catches when you can have smart AI, homeruns by leftys, player fatigue, wind, and player progression that works.
I'm sold! No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?
