I have noticed that even with the meter turned off, that if you tap the button, the control seems much better than holding the button in! Of course, the pitcher makes a big difference as well! I also changed the variability of human pitching to 45, b/c it seemed like no matter who I pitched with, I couldn't hit any spots!

I don't think the effort meter was meant to be used on every pitch. Only when you are trying for a strikeout or a key strike. I used to use it all the time myself and got hammered much like you guys. The problem with using it all the time is that you lose a LOT of control (even if you only fill up the bar a little bit), so you don't hit your spots. Another problem is that you will use up all your stamina early in the game. I would think your pitchers are probably gassed by the 5th inning if you are using the Effort Meter on every pitch. I usually only use Effort when I'm ahead in the count and aim outside the zone so that I'll either throw a ball or hit a corner with my best pitch. I've been having good results since I started laying off the Effort. Try it out.

Thats the same way i use it, but thats true FP did say that if u fill it it will have more break. I don't see more break just more speed but i think as far as a changeup goes i think it does have more downward action if the meter is filledComment
