Re: Any one have porblems with leaving pitched over the plate

The AI usually stares down the first pitch, so I sometimes throw a fastball (full power) right down the middle for the first pitch to pick up a strike. The AI almost never swings, and when they do its nothing dangerous.

I usually throw fastballs and cutfastballs down and away with some power behind the pitch.

Changeups, Curves, and Sliders I mostly throw high out of the strikezone to see if the batter will chase it. When I throw breaking balls, most of the time I throw them on the lip of the strike zone so I feel a vibration.

I notice this when I use the effort meter on curves, sliders sinkers ect. The more effort you put into the breaking pitch the less it will break. The only time I really use the meter now is with the various fastball. So if you just tap the effort meter on breaking pitches it will go where you want it to more often. Anyway, this has worked for me, hope it helps you.

No, no, no... the more effort you put on breaking pitches, the more they break. You can read this in the online manual. Tapping will get you more precise control because you aren't putting more effort on the pitch. If you increase effort, you increase the potential for reward and risk (it might get you hammered or you'll throw a ball). The only pitch effort will not affect is changeup. It's in the manual.

seems to depend on pitchtype as well. Ive noticed that more effort gives a sharper break on certain pitches.

When I put more effort into the curve it almost always comes out very flat. My first 3-4 games I was using the effort meter on just about every pitch and was getting rocked. When I started just tapping or using very little of the meter my pitches were more effective. I'm not saying your wrong because I haven't read the manual. I guess I'll have to play around with it some more. Where can I read the on-line manual? Sega's site?

Yes, at Sega's site. I was having the same problem. Seems like the effort meter is feast or famine. You'll get more Ks, but risk getting rocked.
