    VC close on a deal

VC is said to be close on a deal that would acquire the MLB License.

    Check it here:

989 Sports could still be able to make their games, only third party companies would not be able. So EA would not be able to make MVP with the MLB logos, players...

This can't get any worse for me. My favorite football game (2k Series) is gone, now my favorite baseball game (MVP) will be gone.

    What the?

Hopefully VC will trade EA the MLB rights for the NFL rights? Yea rite. Sad, sad days for gaming. EA has started a war and screwed the gamer.

I guess it is time to move to China where real competition thrives in the marketplace.

I laughed when it said, that 989 would be allowed to use the rights but not EA...

Seriously though, this just hurts gaming in general. If this keeps up, 989 might buy the right to the NBA, and we will have 1 company put out 1 sport every year... bad, just bad...

Unfortunately... EA wouldn't do that because the football market is much larger than the baseball market. It would only lose money for them. The consumers are getting the shafdt here... my favorites football game (ESPN) is gone and now my favorite baseball game (MVP) may be done after this year.

As much as I hadn't liked EA's moves, I think it's JUST as bad that Visual Concepts is doing the exact same thing. I really want EA's baseball game to continue, as long as the other ones do also. This isn't really helping anybody here.
