It isn't a big concern at all, but what is with this. First Giambi, than Jeter, everybody but Yankee fans hate them. I just wonder what they are thinking.

Those swinging animations are bugging me too, every swing looks like the batter is trying to pull a ball down at his knees. The opposite field hits couldn't look more awkward, it makes me cringe.

Even the stuff that doesn't effect gameplay is making a big difference and what I am going to buy.

MVP is definetly on the top of my list and I am now deciding between ESPN and MLB 2006... Still haven't made up my mind, will probably buy them all 3 eventually...
Rasing the price? Someone's been spoiled I see.

this years title will be $39.99 so i'm not sure what you talking about. What the difference anyway if it's $39.99, if you a fan of the game your gonna buy, right?

I don't think TT's deal was out of greed, but rather survival. Think about it, if EA was able to sign an exclusive with the NFL, why wouldn't they do the same with MLB? TT/VC know that EA is trying to eliminate the competition, so they had to get some kind of deal to have a future in sports gaming. All this deal does is cut EA out of the picture next year. Yes, it is backlash for EA's NFL deal, but what if EA signed an exclusive with MLB too? VC would be a sinking ship. I am not a fan of these exclusive deals, in the end, I think us gamers are going to be the one's who get the raw end of the deals, but TT had no choice. Lets just hope, as with the NFL and EA, that TT/VC will rise to the occassion and produce a killer game.

The price tag doesn't bother me too much, I knew the $20 price tag was just a way to build fan base. What does bother me is all those who posted EA hate threads after the announcement of the NFL deal, only to post here that they are going to run out and buy MVP on it's release date just to spite TT/VC. So much for the boycott so many pleadged to uphold. Like I really thought these guys wouldn't buy a new NFL title because EA is the only company that makes one. Give me a break, Madden (or any future EA title) will double in sales...

right on. they've gotta to do what they've gotta do to survive. i mean EA's kicking sand out there. don't get me wrong, EA can do whatever their money lets them do, but it started to look more like spite than good business when they bought the ESPN rights.

no matter, i think (based last years offering from EA and ESPN) TT will have a superior game. i'm hoping so at least. i mean it looks like they gave it the Steve Austin (not the wrassler) treatment and redid it from the ground up - or whereever you rebuild games from.

I don't think what TT was out of greed. It was a business move pure and simple just as EA's was in football.

Doesn't mean I like it. Doesn't mean I think it's good for the consumer. For us the people that pay for these games, competition amongst the developers is good.

It is what it is. Smart business move, bad for us.

I too feel the deal was done for survival. I don't believe deals like these happen without the knowledge of a lot of "heavyweights" in the industry. I have to believe that the console makers had contact with T2 and EA before these deals were finalized. I don't believe that Sony, MS, and Nintendo would ever be caught off gaurd to happenings like this. I would have loved to have been a "fly on the wall" over these past few weeks when the phones started ringing in the game/console developers office. I bet I'd have a different perspective on this "exclusives" madness right now. When you look at what's happening, the ONLY ones upset about things right now... is US!(gamers)
