Re: IGN POTD
Wow! I like the looks of this game more every time I see it. I was down on it last year because of a few presentation slights, the sound mostly. It sounded like there was no crowd last year, but it was easy to get past that because the game play was so good. This year, it looks like they have brought everything together, and I can't wait for March 1 or 15, whichever it ends up being."Boston's tenth man could not be wrong
Up from third base to Huntington
They'd sing another victory song"

Re: IGN POTD
The presentation is the best part of this game! The fielding resembles a lot of last years which is so so!
The bat sound is very deceiving, it sounds the same whether you crush it or dribble it down the third base line. Thats no good!!!!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: IGN POTD
I love that fact that Biggio hurt his thumb diving back into 1st base after a failed attempted steal. The "Behind the runner" view could be abused too easily, and hopefully injuries like that will curtail clowns that want to try to steal on every single pitch and then dive bag into the bag.
The rundown is awesome too! Better pay attention on the basepath's!!Last edited by Shamrock_11; 02-02-2005, 10:34 PM.Comment

The batting sound is horrible. I hope there's an option to turn it off or lower it.
So far my ranking of baseball games I'm most excited about, with all the previews and stuff.
1) MLB 2006 - 989 Sports
2) MVP 2005 - EA Sports
3) MLB 2005 - Take TwoComment

Re: IGN POTD
Couple of comments (I'm through the 2nd video)
It was obvious the user was playing on pro or below as evidenced by the hitting critiques (Too High, Early) on the RARE swings and misses, so I'll withhold all realism concerns until I see a higher level. I suggest others do the same.
Presentation is awesome, I liked the lineup screens (I think you guys call it "Roll Call"?), and the trivia on the REAL, WORKING SCOREBOARD (knew there were a few people interested in that one)
Slamzone looks to be nothing more than a button-mash between the pitcher and batter, and definitely looks to be the first thing I'll turn off (although it was nice to see one of those turn into a can of corn fly ball).Last edited by bcruise; 02-02-2005, 10:51 PM.Comment
