Interesting ratings, I think there were too many guys rated at 100. Seems like they have a higher rating for most players instead of lower, cause it seems like quite a few were rated at 100. Menus look terrific, I can't wait!!

Another thing too, the ratings aren't just based off stats from last year, I think they take the last 3 years combined to use for the formula.

Just remember that every rating is based on a formula developed in the game, and their real life statistics generate the rating... maybe against lefties it's different, because lefty specialists have a much better weight in that category.

stats don't lie though

batters from BOTH sides of the plate AVG between .238/.241 against schill
schilling AVG's between 7-9 K/ game against lefties & righties.

why are his splits so different ?

Yeah that's odd. Even Giambi is rated a 92 which I think is high for him.

Guys, look at it this way... on World Series Baseball 2K3, Barry Bonds was actually rated a 147. Only, they made the number 100. So, many of these players are actually above 100, it's just not shown.

I think that next time they should curve it... like, the 147 rated Bonds would be an 100, and everyone else's numbers are at a 100 : 147 ratio. So, a 132 rated player would actually be an 89 or a 90.


So, for Ichiro's 100 AVG, it's probably really around a 120. Think of it as a 120 programmed into the game, but it is showing it as a 100.



And... that Bonds thing is real. FatPitcher said that a long time ago.

So why are the OVR and AVG ratings cut off at 100 when the stamina ratings are going well into the 120s?
