The screens look great, but the ratings are horrible. John Smoltz is a 93 as a SP, but Johan Santana is a 91?

No player should ever have a rating of 100.

I know you can edit ratings, but they need to be in the ballpark. I don't want to have re-rate evey player in the league. These ratings are way off!

Lets wait till the game comes out.Maybe the rating system doesn't take entirely into account defense and baserunning.

as far as smoltz being rated higher than santana (and only by 2) i actually think thats fair, i mean santana has had one great year look at how many smoltz has had, maybe its based off a 3 yr avg. or something, you can't give every player who has one good yr a super high rating, besides if it came down to the deciding game of the world series i'd rather have smoltz take the mound than santana.

ps: could someone tell me which screen is the giants ratings i'd like to take a look but i'm on dialup and it takes forever to search them all, thanks.

Guys, look at it this way... on World Series Baseball 2K3, Barry Bonds was actually rated a 147. Only, they made the number 100. So, many of these players are actually above 100, it's just not shown.

I think that next time they should curve it... like, the 147 rated Bonds would be an 100, and everyone else's numbers are at a 100 : 147 ratio. So, a 132 rated player would actually be an 89 or a 90.


So, for Ichiro's 100 AVG, it's probably really around a 120. Think of it as a 120 programmed into the game, but it is showing it as a 100.



And... that Bonds thing is real. FatPitcher said that a long time ago.

yeah i remember FAT saying that as well....plus just look at STA..you have SP over 100....just doesn't seem right to have a 100+ rating scale.

every season always has someone that throws off the curve..ie BONDS/ICHIRO.
