i'm getting the game regardless, but this picture still bothers me a lot. The proportions are off and the stance looks very awkward.

well, then that's good if it's a picture of last year's game. I actually bought last year's game and was happy with it from a gameplay standpoint, so i'll be fine with this year's as well.

You know what bothers me, I actually got bashed on another (to remain nameless) website for stating that Kush really improved the graphics and animations for this year's version. I respect people's opinion, but come on, who could really say that the graphics were not improved? I played last year's game and could not get over the terrible graphics, but loved the gameplay. Now that the graphics and presentation have improved leaps and bounds, I can't wait for this game.

Nobody has to say that graphics are better, but everybody has to say that they are improved. Triple Pass Rendering IMPROVED the graphics.

I absolutely hated MLB 2k4. The animations, the player models, faces, just about everything about it I hated. But this year, DANG. I love that pitching meter, the new animations (though some of the "akward" throwing animations are still there), the new player models, it seems like it's almost an entirely new game. I can't wait.

Agreed. The last 2 years of the game were just depressing, but this season it looks like we're "playing ball!" once again! :P
