LOL....I was hyped about MVP last year just like everyone else was, but that died when I bought MLB05, your right I did buy an abox again but I did keep the PS2 still....lol

I agree that ESPN looks a ton times better now over last year's version. I can tell by the screens that graphically this game has been overhauled in that department. I didn't even buy last year's game, but I'm seeing good things so far from this year's version so I will definitely be getting it this year.

Arcade? Based on what? Showtime catches, Slam Zone...both of which never even have to be turned on? What looks arcady to me are the pitching and hitting mini games in MVP. Somehow people don't seem to link the word arcade to mvp though.

2k4 was a very realistic game in my opinion. The pitching was incredible because it's the only other game I've ever played that allowed me to feel so out of control at times while I was pitching....other than High Heat. Walks, sac bunts, hit and runs, steals...the AI did it all. MVP was nowhere near as close to realistic in the gameplay dept. as ESPN MLB last year.

Anyway, to address your comments, almost any gripe you have about MVP can be solved with the PC version, although many are not founded with the console versions anyway. And pitching and mini games? What does that have to do with 9 on 9 on the field gameplay? The points you're defending are both on the field... but as long as they can be turned off, who cares? In a similar fashion, you don't have to play the mini games. My comments might not be the same as your opinions if you're limited to solely an Xbox or PS2.
