Nice long video...

Unfortunately, the fielding does indeed seem to be the weakest part of this game.

Besides some questionable CPU decisions, the controls don't seem very responsive. The transition animations seem pretty far off.

However, I'm not sure how big of an issue this will be once it all comes down. Seems like the presentation, batting/pitching interface and baserunning will all be top notch.

Btw, it's not a full game.

With the new pitching mechanic it looks like games could take a good hour or more to complete judging by the video.

I just don't like how the ball floats after it's put into play. I can't pinpoint what it is, but it doesn't look right. Maybe it's the way the camera tracks the ball.

Moving shadows during the game. YES!!

Foul ball cut scenes look great!

don't forget that there is turbo throw button, so some of those floatty threws I think weren't being used with the turbo throw.

The gameplay looks great in terms of balanced statistics and what not. However the players have this "pastey" look to their faces and uniforms. The faces look almost nothing like their counterparts. The animations don't impress me at all. On inside and outside pitches you can see the batter's feet "slide" (almost like how in slow-pitch softball the hitters shuffle their feet while the ball is in the air). The players are wearing turtlenecks with short sleeves. The cutaways after the foul balls look like they could get annoying quickly, as would the replays with the players' names and what not. The pitcher-batter interface is also very cluttered. Otherwise, the game looks promising...

Yep, at first I thought the faces were spot on when Randy Johnson's mug in the video made me queesy. Then I realized that everyone's face was that scary.

WOW I didn't have any problems with the faces I thought they looked pretty good, Piazza face look pretty damn good.

2-MLB 2K5 a real close second now
3- NO MVP for me, just hasn't impressed me at all this year. Owner just doesn't cut it for me, just like it didn't in Madden. Plus I relly don't know how some people really like the player models in MVP or there faces, There's just somthing about them I just don't like.
