    why is everyone happy?

i just cancelled my order for mlb2k5. it's obvious you are getting shortchanged if they move up the release date. there will be many bugs in this game mark my word. most companies cannot get the game out on time let alone moving it up a month.

The game had to have been finished and ready at least a week ago for them to have even moved up so far. It was on their time-frame to be ready for this. They couldn't have made this move 4 days ago without being prepared.

This game will have as many bugs as it would have with a March 15th release, same roster too.
        Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

If you cancelled your order b/c they move it up six days earlier then you didnt want it in the first place, why are we happy?

b/c we will be able to play two baseball titles online for fifty dollars by the end of the week...and that my friend is worth getting excited about!
When you see it...you'll know what it is...

hope you are right. i think wal mart is shipping it anyways. still it sounds fishy. anybody who has worked under deadlines realizes that 3 to 4 week cushions are nvere built in. usually deadlines are optimistic to satrt with.

i base this on espn other sports game swhich have been bug riddled recently

Yeah. It's not like they were moving along, clearing bugs when EA decided to ship early. They can't do that kind of production and distribution in a day or two .... this was probably a plan (at least a contingency plan) for a while.

There will probably be bugs .... it's software, and all software has bugs .... but I really don't imagine the release date affects it much.

Just as Blzer said, the game is going to have the same amount of bugs as it would if it came out on the original date (which was next week, not a month away). The game has been done for a couple of weeks, then sent to be mass produced. The only thing that could be effected by moving up the release date is the amount of copies that are available since they had one less week to press them up and get them packaged. But since you cancelled your preorder because it was moved up a week (which still confuses the hell out of me) thats one more copy for someone else.
