How so? I thought with decent sliders (sliders were a MUST) the gameplay was excellent last year. Realistic pitch counts, walks, stolen bases, good CPU AI decisions etc..

I saw your post on the MVP boards (regarding ESPN) about Manny Ramirez hitting a low and outside pitch over the train tracks in Houston. Simple solution - Sliders. Out of the box last year ESPN was a homerun fest IMO. With some good sliders, the game was excellent and you wouldn't have hit that pitch for a HR.

I agree. There was nothing wrong with the gameplay last year. I fiddled around with the sliders until it met my needs (other people probably have their own subjective choice of sliders), but I enjoyed the game of ball it played. The game just needed some flavor, that's all.

All the games have something to offer. Everyone of them will have a bug, or glitch. It's all about personnel preferences and being able to overlook small annoyances that may not even have a darned thing to do with gameplay. I even overlooked the batter animations. I don't know how some of the complainers can even set down and enjoy a video game with all the gripes I hear.

I swear, I played MVP for awhile last year and I was hitting homerung left handed. Never saw the lefty bug. So, I don't know.

I'm glad there's competition and hope everyone enjoys their game. There is no best game out there.

didn't mean to kick off negative feelings. i am glad that you baseball lovers have the game early. my cancellation did go through and i am happy for that.

i hope they worked out all of the kinks. tell the poor souls that have the lockup problems with ESPN CH2k5 about getting a game 1 month early.

Interesting world that you live in where 6 days keeps equalling one month.

I agree with that. Every game does something very well and also does something poorly. I think all three will be pretty good overall this year.

Dude,you do realize that the ship date for this game has been March 1st for awhile now. You do realize that March 1st is next week,don't you? Now I don't claim to be a genius and I know that I'm behind on the times. But could you please explain to me how five or six days translates into being pushed up a month? I must have missed a couple of math classes or something.

the problem wasn't so much with humans hitting leftie hrs as it was with the cpu hitting them.

The game killer for ESPN last year was the actual gameplay. Which explains why they claim to have started from scratch this year.

ESPN's problem last year, and what VC had the biggest problem with was the presentation and graphics. I don't think gameplay was one of the problems. IMHO, ESPN was the best sim game out there last year. A lot of things reminded me of High Heat, like the out of control feeling you would get while pitching. I hope that is still there this year.

The game had to have been finished and ready at least a week ago for them to have even moved up so far. It was on their time-frame to be ready for this. They couldn't have made this move 4 days ago without being prepared.

This game will have as many bugs as it would have with a March 15th release, same roster too.
