This wild pitch thing is, in my opinion, the number one thing holding this game back. I know fossen commented in another thread that we shouldn't wait for a patch to fix a "bug" that we created ourselves by messing with sliders, but it happens just as much with default settings... the sliders have nothing to do with it. I just hope people keep talking about it until we get some kind of response from Take Two. I already sent an email to their tech support.

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
Last night I encountered the dreaded "thrown out from RF" scenerio.
I was playing as the Phillies, and it was LIeberthal who hit the ball. I know he's not speedy, but NO ONE should be thrown out at first from right field. That never happened to me in 2k4. Looks like some throwing power slider adjustment may be needed (provided someone can figure out how to enable those 3 sliders).Comment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
FYI, not all fouls balls go into that cinematic camera angle from home plate. I did have the CPU pop a couple up in foul territory. One right around third and I was able to make the catch. Another was deep in left field and it just tailed off into the stands out of my reach.Comment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
I've encountered some of the same things some others have had......I've played 2 games, 1 exhibition and 1 season. All on All-Star level.
1. In two games, I counted 7 wild pitches/passed balls by the computer pitcher. 3 back to back with runners on 1st and second. Both runners scored due to this.
2. Joe Morgan saying things that do not relate to the game. A ball caught on the warning track for an out was declared a home run by Morgan. Striking out the batter in 7 pitches resulted in a 3 pitch strikeout comment by Morgan. After, lining out with my first batter in the 3rd inning.....Miller states that was the third out and the end of inning graphics come up on the screen. Complete with Millers comments on who is batting in the next half inning. It showed players walking off the field. But then my next batter came up to bat. Didn't seem to affect the game in anyway...but just odd that I had to go through all of that after only one out...lol Various other examples of wrong comments for the current situation.
3. In Season mode, the score ticker came up and gave me scores for games that did not exist. I.E. Atlanta vs Boston....but they did not play that day.
*****Edit**** Someone has told me that the ticker actually shows scores from REAL MLB games that day and not the fake games from my season or franchise mode. And since baseball hasn't actually started, it is just showing made up scores. Is this correct?Last edited by Sportie; 02-25-2005, 10:36 AM.Comment

Originally posted by EXboxurThe most AWFUL thing just happened to me. I hit a towering blast down the 1B line, and the camera went into that view from home plate, so you can watch the ball go "Foul," but here's the thing, this ball WASN'T going "Foul."
The ball I hit was a good 15-20Ft. LEFT of the "Foul Line," and when it was about 20Ft. from going over the wall, the ball took a sudden 90* turn to the right and went foul!!!
I couldn't believe it, so I replayed it and sure enough, the damn ball just shot "Foul" out of nowhere. It simply defied the laws of physics. There was NO wind or anything, and even if there was wind, no ball could make a sudden turn like this. 90* turn, I KID YOU NOT!!!
I think it has something to do with that damned camera view, where you just know when it comes up, the ball is going "Foul." Even if the ball is CLEARLY fair, that camera angle/view MAKES IT go "Foul."
This then proceed to happen two pitches later again!!! Luckily I was only playing my brother online, so we just pretended I had an extra run for that game.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
This one is awful...
I just spent the last few days updating all the team rosters to include moving a ton of players off the FA list to the teams.
Today I was adjusting the lineups using my baseball magazine and went to Tampa Bay.
I went to lineup editing and there are two SS. I let the CPU auto adjust the lineups and nothing. I then looked down at my bench players and I was missing one guy.
Went back to the roster screen and he was there, went back to the lineup screen, he's not there. I have 25 players, 13 fielders, 12 pitchers.
So, I went to play a game with the Devil Rays. Not only did they not have 13 fielders, they only had ONE guy on the bench. I was three players short.
CRAP! All my other teams look fine.Comment

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
Some of the roster editing quirks can be avoided if you make sure to take players who are going to be tradedd out of their respective lineups before doing so. It doesn't cope well with automatic substitutions when trading.Comment
