Originally posted by ChiTownKidI have both of them, and MVP, as far as gameplay is concerned, is the clear winner this year.

You sometimes I look at MLB 2k5 and smile and then look at MVP 05 and smile...then I see maddenman's post and frown. At least if your going to be a fanboy, be a good one. (starting with good arguements)Comment

And posts like yours get REAL OLD, too. Look, I bought 2K5. I bought it first. I bought it and had no intentions of buying MVP. Then I played 2K5, and found it lacking. I saw the good reviews for MVP and decided to try it. Glad I did.
Bah. Why the hell am I explaining myself to you?
I'm glad the animations will be far superior next season. I'm talking about what exists now, not golden hopes for the future.
2K5 is good, and has great presentation. MVP lacks the flare of the presentation, but plays a better game, and has much better animations. Whether it took them three years or one, EA got it right this year. Thus, it's a bad thing that T2 has exclusive rights. Is that ok?
Oh, I'm sorry. In my opinion.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->im on ur pitch tacklin ur d00dz

So you end up going out with that attractive though not other-worldly brunette (named MVP 2005), who knows all the moves, knows a bit more about the real world, and can speak in complete sentences...
..and nothing gets past her..
(Like strike pitches that become past-balls 4 to 6 times per game..)Comment

Happy? Hell no, and anybody who is really needs to give their head a shake. These exclusive rights deals are going to hurt sports gaming imo.Comment

Re: Anyone else happy that Take2 has the MLB rights for the future?
ESPN baseball or 2K baseball is IMO a terrible game.....From clunky, akward animations to arcade-ish slam zones the overall feel of the game is stiff and unrealistic. camera views are terrible...Pitching is annoying...I just couldn't enjoy the game because it does not feel like baseball to me...It felt very arcade-ish...even w/o Slam Zone. The fielding is the worst I've seen in a baseball game...If this is the future of baseball and the MLB license then I won't be playing anymore baseball cause this effort is straight COMEDY.
The topper was the graphics even look bad when compared to MVP on X-Box. About the only good thing I liked was the cut scenes, commentary and atmosphere of the game...2K (aka King of the cut scene) seems to have mastered just about everything outside of the users control...Its now time they start focusing on making the game look and feel good when the user is in control of it. Cut scenes are starting to get played out when the remainder of the game is garbage.Comment

If Kush doesn't clean up the bugs in their game, I won't bother with them next year. I'll just play MVP for another season.Comment
