Good to hear. It's fair to say that running these two attributes (RANGE/ANTICIPATION) way down is the key. Seems the problem has been solved. Great!

Much improved gameplay after editing the P attributes (as suggested). Now what about when the P covers 3B or 1B? Do you see how they sometimes dart over to the base so quickly? Lou Brock in his prime never ran that fast. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't see other positions do it, as I do Ps.

maybe if there is a way to reduce a pitcher's running speed under their feilding attributes...

Yeah, they are pretty fast covering first, but it never struck me as a issue. If anything, I would want their spedd slowed down a tad so that they don't get to bunts so quickly. But it's very playable with pitcher ant/range at 8/8 (or 1/1/ as other suggested).

U can put their speed down. I did it to test. I put it at 15 or so. It's where u edit the Base on Balls, Strikeouts ratings.

I have seen that too. They go cover it so quickly. The same when u push the button to make a wall climb. If u push it too early he will run 5 times faster than Ichiro.

And about the Pitchers not getting everything i couldn't come up with a solution. Anyone has a clue?
I tried to put Anticipation, Range, Glove, Speed down, but they can catch almost everyball i hit back to the mound.

Just adjust aniticipation and range...make them both the same and put them somewhere between one and ten.

Amazing thing I noticed...earlier in the game when starting pitchers have full strength they snag more balls...but come the 5 or 6 inning, those same shots up the middle bounce off their leg or fly past them. I'm assuming it's b/c of the fatigue factor.

Also, be sure to differentiate (spelling) between line shots backs to the mound and one-hop grounders back to the mound. With the ant/rage settings at 10 or less, starting pitchers may still field the hard one-hoppers, but even from the beggining of the game, have plenty of difficulty with the line drives.

You might be on to something here Guga. The generic pitching animations that most P’s use – Over The Top, Three Quarters Style, etc. – move and conclude much quicker than many of the custom P animations. Click on a P as if to edit his pitching style. Now check out “Stretch Style Three Quarters” (I think it is). The animation moves 2-3 times faster than most others. You can see how a P coming out of that animation would be much more ready to field a line drive or bunt than a P with a slower animation. This is assuming the P throwing animation has to conclude before the P fielding animation kick in.

And maybe that hyper-fielding I sometimes see, especially when the P is running to cover 1st or 3rd, is somehow tied to these particular hyper-animations? If so, one fix could be changing the default generic P hyper animations that many P’s were given – finding some slower, custom animations and giving them those.
