I love the gameplay of MVP after much slider tweaking. I tried MLB and it looks and feels great but the gameplay lacks.
My biggest gripe with MVP is that I cannot walk the CPU because I hit my spots every time. The meter is too easy. I love everything else about it.
My gripe with MLB are that the CPU swings at almost every strike I throw. Even on 3-0 counts when it should be taking, it swings at a strike. Also, the CPU throws way too many strikes. Not real baseball.
I'm appealing to this group because last year I liked ESPN better than the others because of the pitcher/batter confrontations. Now, I've tried to scan as much as I could from the posts but I would like to know if:
1. Is pitching a challenge so that you don't hit your spots every time?
2. Will the CPU walk you? Will it have rough spurts when it just loses it for a few batters at a time?
3. Do you feel like, in general, what you see in a game represents real baseball happenings?
4. Does the CPU bunt for basehits with the speedsters? Sacrifice?
5. Does the CPU steal appropriately and take bases aggressively?
If it requires sliders to make some of these things happen, I don't mind. I want the best sim I can get. MVP is so close.
