Re: The game stops at the hitting and pitching interfaces.

Well, I haven't done anything with the AI baserunning, but, for the most part I see the lead runners advance without having to take control of them. I was so frustrated with this in the beginning that I just gave it a try and it worked. I try to be aware of where the ball is hit and will switch to the lead runner if I think it's just too close (and the AI might not advance) and take control myself.

It's a tough system to get used to, that's for sure.

Isn't there a baserunning AGGRESSION settiing? I'll have to take a look at that when I play a game later tonight.

I was actually referring to the CPU opponent. I can't seem to figure it out. I will toy around with the base running aggression slider and see how that works out.

Like you, I’d prefer to do the running around the IF myself, given I’m not QUITE as old and decrepit as jim416 there… :-) But the rest of the game’s so good, so I forgive the game programmers.

I lowered my IF guys’ Range and Anticipation to 1 and I’m still seeing the web gems, though not near as much as before as you pointed out. A lot of the scrubs have Anticipation @ 0, even though the lowest I can set someone is 1. So I thought maybe the 0 Anticipation guys were the ones who weren’t programmed to do the web gem stuff. So I set up a team of them, but sure enough they were web gemming with the best of them, so it looks like we’ll have to live with it.

Wow, baa7, I'm touched. Really. Thanks a lot. I have a book coming out within two month, "The Ghosts of Vietnam". Hope you get to read it.

i'm wondering what default level(pro, all-star, legend) you guys are using before adjusting sliders, i start with all-star mainly on account of the fact that i find it the best as far as throwing out cpu baserunners in a realistic #, i do see some of what your talking about regarding the scripted fielding by cpu controlling human fielders but i only really see it on a hot smash that would be by my infielders before i would i would be able to blink, this is also in mvp unless you select mvp fielding (new addition this yr), could the level you start on have some affect on this?
