hey man i just wanted to praise you for all the work you have done for this game and NBA 2K11. this is by far superior to 2ks updates and you have gone above and beyond to get these rosters accurate and players rated accordingly. i always like to run with a fantasy draft just because when you take rosters into the franchise the cpu messes around with all of the lineups and rotations unless you control all 30 teams which I don't want to do. so, i will do a fantasy draft and usually always give myself the 1st pick. i'm thinking about running with a nl team because i think it will be harder and more challenging to do it without the dh in the nl.

if i pick first, it's a toss up who to take. i generally take bautista first because he is clearly the best 3B in the draft. I tend to take the best hitters with my first 4 picks. you can find young arms rated in the low 80s in the teen rounds and I am a pretty good pitcher. last night I did one and grabbed choo in like the 17th round! i've tried doing a draft where I try and build my "big 3" starting rotation. but I can't justify taking a guy who is ony rated like 94 1st overall when i know that i can get a good arm about a half or so dozen picks later. so I like to pick the 4 best hitters. get my corner bats, then my outfielder then a middle infielder. who would have thought that jhonny freaking peralta would be an all-star and be one of the higher rated middle infielders in the game! he goes before the 4th round usually! i also try and not take that many guys older than 30. 35 no way unless it's way late in the draft. i will be doing some yard work and then run a fantasy draft with this set and post the results later.

Very cool, jon! I'm going to get around to mine, but after the latest slider discussion I wanted to make sure I was satisfied with mine (which I am).

One suggestion: you might want to give Bryce Harper a slight bump in batting attributes. I haven't looked much at the minors because LTrain8 did those. But after putting together the Futures rosters, I think Harper should get bumped up to at least a 73 rating. I think prospects are VERY difficult to rate. I'll be curious to see how fast he's promoted to the Majors...but he should get a bump and I feel a little bad for overlooking him.

Smith, R. Perez, Carrasco: 79
Sipp: 78
Pestano: 75 (he's starting to show his true self lately)
Talbot: 74
Hermann, Durbin: 68

Pronk is now rated an 86 overall (81 contact / 76 power)

Indians team ratings: pitching: 80 ... batting: 76 ... overall: 81

I do not like to rate bullpen pitchers over an 80. Just a personal thing, but it's unfair to rate a bullpen guy with an era of 2.9 higher than a starter with an era of 3.2 - I just won't do that. If you want to bump them be my guest, but I won't. Exception to the rule are bullpen guys who have proven themselves over a few seasons and CLOSERS.

I think you'll now be happy with these latest updates.

hey mk, i keep on downloading the latest roster file that you posted on the first page and it's not working for me.. i don't know but it doesn't reflect any of the indian's ratings that you made or anything like that..

mk, got done completing a fantasy draft. used the giants (love thier ball park) and picked 1st. usually if I do AL I take 2 1Bs in the first 3 rounds but can't since it's the NL and there's no DH. my strategy was to build a defensive team with power and a strong bullpen with quality starters. no starter i drafted was over a 85 overall. i love my infield with acab and phillips. here is my roster:

C - geovany soto / adam moore
1B - mitch moreland
2B - brandon phillips / dan uggla
3B - joe bautista
SS - asdrubal cabrera
LF - carlos gonzalez
CF - drew stubbs
RF - nelson cruz / nick swisher

starters - nick blackburn / scott baker / mike leake / scott fieldman / b. zito

bullpen - daniel bard / matt thornton / luke gregerson / ramon ramirez / sergio mitre / su - jonny venters / cp - chris perez

definately think the strength of my team is defense and my bullpen. my key guys in my pen are all rated above 82. now i just have to figure out my liineup. here it is right now thoughts on how I could change it or is it good the way it is?

CF - stubbs - R
SS - cabrera - S
3B - bautista - R
RF - Cruz - R
1B - Moreland - L
LF - Gonzalez - L
2B - Phillips - R
C - Soto - R

one thing I noticed is I only have 2 lefties in my lineup. the reason I hit acab 2 and not phillips is because he is a switch hitter. think i should get another leftie? i'm pretty sure I could acquire chase utley pretty easily.

I will answer for him, yes it is. Search 2k share for his name and look for the most recent one. His rosters are excellent, proven by the amount of work he puts into it

Depends on what you want. If you want a challenge, try the Nationals, Orioles. I love playing as the Reds, but I also like playing as the Angels.

I will be uploading a new one in the next few days. fixed the all-star teams so most players that go meaningful time are now in. sorry, but i can't get them all in because of the 25 player limit. sucks... plus, the AL only used 9 pitchers, but you MUST have 10 in created teams. so i kept valverde because he would have pitched if a save situation came up.

i have upped bryce harper...he should be higher. i hate rating prospects, but since I had kipnis a 76 overall (yeah, my indians bias - but i firmly believe that he's possibly the best prospect in baseball - a true 5-tool player) i upped Harper to the same.

I have made a copy of the updates noted by the community here and will start plugging many of them in (unless it gets too much - but i'll get the main guys). so give me a few days on this, but the latest file up is good.

did you load it? also, turn off all the auto save stuff and even the living rosters as they've been known to overwrite files. it's the correct roster, so it's something on your end. thanks!
