Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Ok I d/l the roster off 2k share tonight but no edits have been done, anticipation is not 25. Is this the right one, it said MK Bretsky colab or something like that.
PS: CrapI must have somehow grabbed the wrong one cause Upton is still with Arizona in this roster. Well tomorrow it is.

If you make ALL the players +1 then there will be NO rookies left to create... Any chance you could just leave ALL the players on the minor league A teams with 0 years pro? (When I created this file I left all the "fake players" not being used with Two Stars - a few exceptions for the guys who really suck, but I've tried to move all of them to at least AA level. Give this some thought... Thanks!
(And the file should be under my gamertag under "newest roster files"...)STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

ONE IDEA - IMPORTANT!!!

Ok I added +1 (years pro) to "every" player on the roster globally.I then went through the roster manually with the editor
and reduced all players in A ball that had 1 "years pro" to "0" except those few that had more than 1 year pro. Hope that is what you wanted.

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Looks good - I have the file and am now fixing a few things. I noticed following this update that some last names are now gone. I'll fix those and then re-upload the file both here (offline .ROS file) and on 2K Share. I have it now and am working on it. GREAT STUFF - and MANY THANKS!!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Should I re-upload the file with those set back to 0?Comment

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
We're now encountering a problem - there is a name glitch that is showing up. Some of the newly created players since the reditor was used are screwing up names. I noticed that Adam Buschini on the Padres was missing his last name. Also, Jacob Constante (AAA pitcher for the Reds) is now screwing up with Adam Silverio (AAA OF for the Marlins). So the glitches will now begin... What would you guys like me to do on this, as it appears it's names not in the data base (I have no idea how many more this could affect - I'm combing through each team but just happened to catch this). Thanks.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Let me repost the file first - I'm currently working on it, and based upon my note above you might want to hold off until I put it on 2K Share. Thanks!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Yeah - we've got a screw up with a "name glitch" now - any player that I added when we started using the Reditor to edit this file is goofed up - if I didn't use a name in the database, all those names are being screwed with. This sucks, as I can't recall all of them, but those I'm catching are screwed up. I already recreated Buschini of the Padres. It's Silverio of the Marlins AAA team, Constante of the Reds AAA team, and Kobayashi of the Angels AAA team. I don't know how many more there might be, but it looks like an issue that crept up on NBA 2K (using the reditor - name glitch) has now shown up here. Outside of recreating all those players, this might be something we will have to live with. I'm open to suggestions - but will hold off before moving forward because this file now has me running in circles.
It happened a few files ago as I re-downloaded 3 of them - all of them had this problem already, I just never noticed it.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Hey guys, I know this is off topic to the current and extremely wacky name glitch, but regarding our massive file this is more of a collective question and hopefully we get one answer.
This file - when it is basically franchise ready if it isn't already, are we going to go with PROJECTED rosters for opening day 2013?
I was thinking what we should do is go with a 2013 opening day roster without major injury, I.E A-Roid (see what I did there?) or McCann with the Braves or Beachy so on and so forth.
Now on the flip side of this, the user can easily just go through and fix this his or herself but I was just curious on the mindset of the franchise roster.
Also i'll hope to get a good final file in a week or so from you guys and from there i'll run through all the contracts, should take about a week tops to get it done.Comment

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Once you start a franchise up, the game will totally screw with the lineups and pitching staffs. So it really doesn't matter what you start with - the cpu logic will totally change up all the work we put into this. I typically like to post a REAL "Opening Day" file with all teams 100% accurate (this allows guys to also play the MLB Today games using this file). Just my .02.
Also, I think I've found a number of the culprits on this name glitch problem. So, it's a pain in the arse, but I'm re-creating some of those players. I have to recreate Kobayashi and I think I'm pretty close to cleaning this up. I'll need to go back through MLB Trade Rumors website and see if I can recall any other players I made/created that weren't in the database. It's a job, but I'm still dedicated to the accuracy of our work!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
Thanks guys.
After doing some reading into it, we are one month away from 2K13, not any details besides another million dollar challenge, the cover looking the same with a different Cy Young winner, and a stupid outtakes video.
Unless some major innovation comes into play, and we can really get the Astros moved and a new schedule imported, this is what I will be dedicating my time to for the next year. Which is why I will get every contract accurate.

Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12
how good is the cpu logic? is it extremely wacky or not too shabby? I'm thinking about picking this game up today now that I've been reading a bit of this thread and the slider thread (thanks to yr post in nba2k13 sliders, mkharsh) and starting to get an itch for a baseball game (my last one is MLB 2k9). however, i'm a franchise/dynasty/off-line player mainly and terrible cpu logic can be a killer for me.Comment
