That Is what I was doing but for some reason when I load the file in the game they go back to being messed up. Idk why it does it but I will get the MLB done at least first. But when I was fixing their pitches I think there were 3 or 4 that werent screwed up.

What do you mean hours of your work would be lost. I have fixed all the names, they will stay.

      Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12

I guess I don't understand this REDitor thing. I'm old school - all my edits are done with the game IN my 360, and NOT on a computer. I create those players with the game in my system. So, I guess the "old school" way of going through each player and updating them using fangraphs with your disc in your gaming system is not what we're considering here.

Maybe the problem is this (and I'm just shooting in the dark since I know nothing of the REDitor - which you can laugh at me since I can't see your faces): The roster that I've worked on has a LOT of changes since that last file. The Blue Jays, for example, are going to carry a 13-man pitching staff heading into Opening Day - only 3 bench guys. Unless something changes, they're pretty set. So, the roster file that was used a few weeks ago, 1) has 12 pitchers on their staff, and 2) has DIFFERENT pitchers on their staff since they've updated their lineup.

I don't know... My whole point about time being lost was the idea that, if an older file would be used, then what's the point of me working on this file: updating transactions, creating new players, updating ratings, etc.??

I'm not trying to be a prick about this, but remember: the file that was the base was mine from last year. It was Bretsky who then came up with the idea of doing this project. Others have gotten on board, and it's very much appreciated. But when I read of the idea of using an older file, maybe I'm an idiot, but I thought that would basically set everything back. And if that were the case, then I felt it showed little respect for countless hours I've put into the file the last few days. There are some very subtle things I've done that you won't necessarily see. I've read blogs about defensive things that I've added (additional positions for certain players or deficiencies).

Again, please know I'm not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes I sense here that questions are necessarily being asked but rather it seems like it's provoking (like the tone of ElSeniorLewLew's above: "What do you mean hours of your work would be lost. I have fixed all the names, they will stay.") - Sorry, but maybe I misread your tone, but at first I didn't appreciate it.

What I had asked for about 2-3 days ago never materialized here: a list of typed notes for those pitchers whose pitch types got changed. All I asked for was 3 things: the pitch type, the pitch speed, and the pitch percentage - for each of those 5 or 6 teams. It was never given. So we appear to have a thread here where guys are waiting, but seem unwilling to help out. Call me out for being a dick, I don't care. But this past weekend I probably put around 10-12 total hours of work into this file - it's not easy tracking everything. I go over each team, read each blog of Team Stream, etc. I don't get a dime for this, nor do I want any money. I just wanted some basic help to let me speed up this process. I would have been more than happy to enter those pitching changes MANUALLY with the game in my system. But nobody provided anything...

I can totally picture you like smashing your keyboard in, haha.

You wouldnt lose anything, im just saying like Sergio Santos for example, since that guy who posts 1000 times about him, take all his info from one of your older files, before the super weird pitch thing happened, copy this, or write everything down, find Sergio in the current one that I suppose elLewlew has or whatever, and just copy and paste, or type it all in?

Make sense? It should technically work, right?

In all fairness, I asked a simple question almost 10 days ago, and I never so much as got a peep.

I don't care about having complete minor league rosters, but would at least like the Top 20. Not sure what the max number of created players is. Wasn't sure if you were just going to do the expected 25 man roster and few up and comers for each, then the rest is up to us, or what. I play with the Royals, and we obviously rely on our young prospects. Anyways...just wondering. I have no idea how to figure proper ratings, and all that, but will begin doing it if I have to. Again, thanks.
That would be the creation of probably 450 to 500 players. Sorry this was missed, but the answer will be "no." My suggestion has been what it's always been: wait for the OFFICIAL OPENING DAY ROSTER FILE and then YOU create YOUR missing players for Franchise Mode.

If this was my full-time job, and I was receiving a stipend for doing so, I'd be hard at work on this. But what you are asking is nearly impossible with the limited amount of time and people resources.

Again, sorry this was overlooked, but I hope you understand...

No worries man.. I was just messing with you. Thanks for the answer though. I realized after I asked it, that was 600 players, with only a few of them having already been in the game. My next option was to make sure there was at least the Top 100 prospects, and maybe do the Top 20 from the Royals myself, but I wasn't sure of what the max numbers I could create were. And when you edit players, it is my understanding that unless you created them, you cannot change their appearance. (white dude, black dude..etc..) I love the roster project, and want a good starting point, so I appreciate the work that's already been done, but I am kind of like you, as I don't like too many cooks in the kitchen, and everything I do will be done in game, without the use of the REDitor. I have no clue how that works anyway. I just didn't want to get started only to find out I couldn't complete what I was trying to do, because the limit I could create was too small. Make sense? I have a slight case of OCD.

I believe they would be copying and pasting the pitch types and such from an earlier roster, not everything about the roster, so your work will still be there (if I am understanding this correctly)

Hey PC guys, I'm currently having issues with my REDitor. My anti-virus all of a sudden does not like it and is not allowing it to be opened. I will be away from the PC for the Easter weekend, but hopefully I can get something figured out before I leave. In the meantime, here are two separate files: one is with the 2013 schedule (2013sched) and some of the minor bugs (simming from schedule only or else it crashes) and an earlier file from March 4th (yeah, I know, not very recent...). At least it is something while I work to get my REDitor up and running. Once it works, it will only take about 10 minutes to get the newest roster file switched over to PC. My apologies for the delay and I hope everyone has a nice long weekend, and enjoy some damn real baseball starting Sunday!!!

I was fixing MK's created players names that were being deleted with REDitor, done. I am now working on correcting all the pitches of the five MLB teams that got screwed up. I was gonna do minors to but MK needs the file for 2-3 days he said so I cant as this takes awhile to do.

I am also seeing that a lot of the players in the minors aren't messed up hardly at all!

P.S. I have a good tone in this not angry (for no confusion)
