Were there any upgrades from 2k12 to 2k13? I am looking into purchasing a Baseball game. I have not played 1 in 3 years and dont want to drop $60 for 2k13 if 2k12 is just as good if not better. I have been looking thru this thread seeing some great stuff. I appreciate any responses.

I would just buy 2k12; the graphic improvements are little to none and the only change would be Houston moving to the AL West. The roster makers here make this game playable for at least the next couple of years because of the time, effort, and depth that is put into the rosters. The only reason I bought NBA 2k13 was because of the current roster work and gameplay improvements; this is not the case for MLB 2k13.

That is what i was leaning towards doing. I have read mixed reviews on 2k13, so I was leaning towards 2k12 anyway, but with hearing from you i think my mind is made up. Thanks for responding.

I did a quick count - of the 75 they have listed, I believe we're missing less than 15. I added a couple last night (Dahl & Hanson). I'll just others create their own from here. The beauty of this file is that each team has a sporadic number, so it's pretty good for any Franchise Mode. Thanks!

I am big on prospects so thanks for adding those. I do franchise but I only play with prospects (futher defined by me as players that have no MLB stats period rather than the MLB definition), so I will go in and add a bunch of the 18-19 yr old guys.

Notably Mondesi of KC, Brinson, Guzman, Berias (spelling might be off) from TX and others I can't remember right now.

Question - When is the next 2k share file going to be up. Is that the "final" one on Sunday/Monday or will one be up between now and then? Thanks again.

NEEDS 5 THINGS FIXED - list here:

1) Milwaukee outfielder KHRIS DAVIS has a messed up first name. It should NOT be "Norichika" but rather changed to KHRIS. I cannot do that because when I change it then Aoki's name gets messed up. Will need to be done with the REDitor.

2) Arizona 3B ALFREDO MARTE (who is on their MAJOR LEAGUE team) needs his primary position changed to RIGHT FIELD. Will need this done via the REDitor.

3) Indians AAA (Columbus) pitcher Matt Antonelli needs to be changed to MATT LANGWELL. NOTE: there IS a Matt Antonelli who plays for the same team - 2B for Columbus. But please use the REDitor to change the pitcher's name to the correct name.

4) Cubs AA LF needs his name changed from Albert Norichika to ALBERT ALMORA - He's on the Tennessee Smokies. Will need the REDitor to do so.

5) Need TONY WOLTERS (Cleveland - AA Akron) to have his primary position changed to CATCHER. Read a blog today where he will be moved to that position as the Indians already have their infield of the future groomed.

I did some more work on various attribute updates - I think they look pretty good. Depending on how soon DCNATS gets those items fixed and any other updates done will be how soon I get this file up. I would like to do so SUNDAY NIGHT - I will be out of town on Monday as my wife, kids and I are heading out for the day (last day of the kids' spring break). Thanks! Mike

Well im back from being trashed on a Saturday night in Myrtle Beach, but ill get some of this done tonight, most of it tomorrow afternoon before the family rolls in for Easter.

Should have it out probably by 2 EST. Just in time for the Rangers and the new AL Astros!

As for the TOR and NYM AAA teams, we can swap them, but the player swaps would take longer. If you give us maybe a week or so we can probably get that done, because its more than just swapping the affliates.

Hey MK.. I had a quick thought when playing a few nights ago.

So im playing the Braves, and yes we made J-UP a left fielder. But did we change his attributes to be more of a left fielder than right? See the game still put him in right, and Heyward for the entire series, which included a RHP and LHP, he was benched. Should we address this today on your end? We can also change this in reeditor.

Its your call, but I do think for big names like that we need to change it. Kinda weird seeing Reed Johnson play over Heyward, and no, he was not injured.

EDITI went ahead and swapped J-UP's RF ability with his LF ability, and will test it out to see if he is put there by the Braves and Heyward is in the starting lineup.
Other than that, the file should be up soon. Everything has been fixed, I dont have time to put the game and make sure it all went through right.

Jay Jackson has not been released, that can be done in game by MK or whoever.

Just know that if that happens you will have commentary issues in 13. This was tried with an earlier version and this problem arose.

Thanks for the heads up.

I am aware of that...I also found some other issues such as pitchers having an extra pitch but with 0 movement and accuracy.

Lineups and stuff like that were messed up too...Nothing that I can't fix myself. Commentary I can get over.

I now have it and will begin work on finalizing the 25 man rosters for the official Opening Day file. Expect something LATE (and I mean LATE) tonight or Monday. Hopeful to get it done tonight, though...
