Here's my frustration...
When we are asking for information, I do NOT want LINKS!!! I want typed out notes that I can quickly read and plug in. I can find the links by myself. What I want is a LIST of players, typed out, with each pitch type, pitch speed, and pitch percentage provided... If that upsets anyone, well, that's not my problem. Guys want rosters, but even those not working on the file can help participate. But I don't know...
Regarding the question about messed up names: I am creating new players. I do NOT use the REDitor. I don't know how to use it, and have no clue how it works, and have no plans on ever figuring that out. So, I do not see any screwed up names because when I see them on my TV screen, with my game loaded in my 360, there are no issues with names at all. It wasn't until you guys with the REDitor started working on the file that multiple names started getting screwed up. Now, that really puts me in a bind. I do NOT track my work, so if you ask me who I create, the reality is I can't tell you because I don't remember. If you want me to track it, I won't. 1) it slows me down, and 2) it's more work. I don't get a cent for this, nor do I want anything. But I'm not going to make this a job because I already have one, along with a wife and 4 young kids...
At this point I honestly don't know what to do. I'm partly tempted to just post one more file and let you guys hash it out. Working with a team is a great idea, but with guys using the REDitor, and stuff getting screwed up, and the time consuming nature of this, maybe we should just provide one more file and then let each person figure our their own edits.
I understand where Bretsky is coming from. He's worked on other files for other games, and even I would admit this forum is more difficult than the others I've dealt with here at OS. I don't want to sound critical, but when we ask for help, and it seems we've given specific directions, and then someone chimes in and this pile-on begins- well, I don't need this. So you guys determine where this goes... What I know is that I have a stack of transactions that need plugged in (latest news has been furious and aplenty) and I've got more work to do on depth charts, along with correct jersey numbers, etc. It's time consuming to say the least... So you guys let us know where we go from here...
