Right now I'm working on offensive stats for over 900 players including offensive stats for pitchers who all have sample sizes to go from. I can look at minor league player equations once I know the major league ones are good.

And the speed thing is up for debate as i feel both games have a different set of sabermetrics for that. Iggy should be 88-90 and upton has speed i watched him steal a base a week ago a d he took it with ease and his jump, stride was sick!Last edited by justblazedown3; 04-23-2017, 01:02 AM.Comment

I tend to use Fangraphs because they state what pitches a pitcher user along with their accuracy, movement, speed, and tendency to use certain pitches. It's a one stop shop for my ratings.Comment

As do i it has real pitch types, speeds, and tendencies. I use speeds from this site and tendencies but take movement from the show and can obviously know someone who throws a sinker gets a 2fb sometimes so keep an eye out for the pitches to keep them authentic. JV throws a 2FB not a 4FB watch his FB in real life it has crazy life....

Re: 2017 Roster-MLB 2K13 (360)
So here's what I have so far in terms of offense. There's over 900 players with their ratings in this file. Some players have #DIV/0! error in their Aggression and Acceleration categories but that's due to the lack of data for those players. I'm pretty sure it's for pitchers so those could literally be changed to 25 if need.
Anyway, here's the file I've been working on:

Re: 2017 Roster-MLB 2K13 (360)
For the pitches turning red. Its because if you throw it to much it becomes easier for the opp to see it and hit it. If it gets hit a few times then its pretty much useless. So you have to be skill full and work the edges and keep em off balance!Comment

Re: 2017 Roster-MLB 2K13 (360)
Unfortunately it isn't that simple. Take for instance a knuckleballer. It is near impossible to pitch with them. A knuckleballer will throw 75+ percent knuckleballs per game.
This game doesn't allow that. Even with a tendency of say 75, it still turns red and makes the pitch fairly useless. Then take some of the long relievers that only have 2 pitches. Good luck keeping those from the red.
The mechanic is a great idea but wasn't implemented properly. I wish it was more based on sequence, example, if you tend to always throw 1-2 sliders away, that would make the pitch red based on sequence or something like that.Comment

Re: 2017 Roster-MLB 2K13 (360)
If you throw it three times and in the next again the third batter is gonna have a better read as most hitters get timing from watching what the pitcher throws to other batters. If your using to 2 of 4 pitches they will be over used and less effectbut if you change it up they dont know whats coming. Ive thrown several no hitters so i think i got a good perspective on this.
What I don't know about however--and this just popped in my head as I was typing--what happens when you make a "perfect" pitch by lining up the spokes of the pitch meter--on a pitch that you have overused and is in the red? Does that affect the outcome? I know, because it is a rare occasion, that when I make a perfectly timed pitch, the results are almost always really good. I only make a handful of perfect pitches per game, I haven't played a ton of this game!
What slider setting makes this easier to accomplish? Pitch meter speed?

It cannot be fixed they screwed up the implementation of the idea.Comment

We need a good slider discussion going. I know there are some good sets out there, but are very difficult and meant for the most experienced gamers.
I'd love to hear some modifications from other users and which sliders to adjust to make reasonable changes.

So it's just a matter of finding the right slider settings to make it so the cpu hitting isn't ridiculous--or the user pitching is manageable.

The only thing that will help at all is to turn User Pitching Composure way down and nerf the CPU Hitting a bit. I'm not a good enough player to use the most difficult settings.Comment
