True, but you're swinging at anything even near the plate when behind. That's what I meant about the sliders being relative to one another. Sounds like they are not, which makes sense.

Thanks. For the response and for making these in the first place.

This game is hurtin' concerning walks with the cpu. If someone has any sliders that gives walks, please post them. Bigjoe, i'll be trying your new version tomorrow.

What do you mean changes in your first? Your pro sliders on page 3, do we use those? Aren't those your new ones?

Okay, I am playing a game with these right now. Re: outfielders' arms, I have seen runners on second go to third on ground balls hit to their left; runners score from second on base hits, and just saw a stand-up triple on a ball hit to the gap. I think adjusting from Pro is the right idea. Good work.

BigJoe's sliders work well with walks, but you have to be patient. you need to take your ABs like a real life situation. you shouldnt always swing at the first strike. i take every pitch until i get the pitch i want or until i have 2 strikes. that, in turn, makes the AI pitcher tire faster. so depending on the pitcher, ive got like 4-7 walks per game. its pretty sim. the pitcher of course isnt going to walk many batters at the beginning, but once you start working his counts and tiring him out, he will start walking you around the 5th inning or so.

i just played a game against the Indians and Cliff Lee walked me 6 times through 6.1 innings. thats pretty good imo.

That is good. That many would make me a happy camper. I get zero or one.

Just a quick heads up to a fellow slider maker...no matter what level you start you sliders on they become custom after the first movement of a slider. The fact that you see a difference starting from pro as opposed to legend is all in your head. Rookie sliders are boosted to favor the player more and legend is obviously the opposite...lowered to favor the CPU. So if it ends up at 35 no matter what it is 35... rookie, legend whatever it makes no difference. To give a quick example of what im saying...say I start at Pro and move power up to 60 from say 50 or whatever the default is. Its then 60.. Then say I move power up to 60 from 35 where it is preset on All Star. Its then 60. SO no matter what level you started from its still 60. See what im saying. SO making a Pro slider set and Legend slider set with the same numbers is just a waste of time because 60 is 60 no matter where you start.

I think the theory is that there are hidden ratings that are different depending what level you start from.

The point, though, is that we can't adjust arm strength. So adjusting from Pro puts arm strength at 50 (or so the theory goes), whereas adjusting from All Star puts arm strength at 25 for human; 75 for CPU (or some similar numbers).

                              Re: BIGFNJOE'S MLB 2K6 360 Sliders

I need a little help from the slider experts.....I usually leave everything at default, but felt this game needed some adjustments.

I used BIGFNJOE's sliders as my baseline and adjusted to my game play style. However, the CPU is hitting me like crazy. Please understand this is my first time playing MLB 2k. So I decided to increase the CPUs Takey Strike to 100 and Take Ball to 0. The CPU still swings at a lot of strikes. Maybe I should up the Take Ball to 100 as well.

Just asking, because my goal is to get around 6 to 10 strike outs. I have a created pitcher that has everything maxed out and he still only gets 1 or 2 strikeouts.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

                              Thanks

If I use custom sliders and turn dynamic difficulty on during franchise mode will this affect the sliders?
