What does upping the Corner slider do in your mind. I know it means they throw towards the corners more often, but does that relate to a more difficult hitting experience? Less solid hits? Just curious as to what affect you think that slider has on gameplay.Comment

With it higher for some reason I think it helps them miss off the plate and over the plate, more realistically. When it was low I felt that the pitches were either missing really badly or getting to much of the plate. Now there is a nice mix.Last edited by DanSF49; 03-27-2008, 12:20 PM.Comment

Re: DanSF49's Bad Back Opening Day Sliders
just played a game with the new set of sliders... i got some fairly good results. it was a slugfest with the reds(me) vs the phillys. they won 10-7. it was the #5 starters for each team and neither lasted very long. there was a total of 6hrs in the game and a bunch of other hits which was nice. i am hoping in the next couple of games there wont be as much hrs as the first one but what do you expect when u play at great american ballpark lol"Why do they bother putting age restrictions on these things when all you have to do is click "yes, I am 18"? How's the baserunner speed treating you at 70. Any noticeable difference?Comment

Re: DanSF49's Bad Back Opening Day Sliders
for me its pretty good... i like it faster because you can actually beat out some infield hits with the faster guys and the double plays are a lot harder to get"Why do they bother putting age restrictions on these things when all you have to do is click "yes, I am 18"? Re: DanSF49's Bad Back Opening Day Sliders
great stats for the second game....each team batted in the .200s, i drew 3 walks and struck out a embarrassing 9 timesthere was 1 hr for each team(the one i let up was cause of a meat pitch). my hr came in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off by joey votto. score was 4-3. so it was a big change from the first game i played so right now i am loving these sliders!!! the only thing i am having trouble with now is getting strike outs. i had like 3 the first game and 4 the second, it seems that when i get 2 strikes on them they always put the ball in play somehow

AI Take Strike Overall from 65 to 70
AI Take Strike Ahead from 65 to 70
AI Take Strike Behind from 55 to 60
I think the Take Ball sliders are dead on right now, so I don't think we need to touch them unless we start seeing some crazy things happening. So try these out and let me know how it goes. Glad your enjoying them.Last edited by DanSF49; 03-27-2008, 03:01 PM.Comment

Re: DanSF49's Bad Back Opening Day Sliders
Jake, I dont have an average on hand right now but I do know that they score on me and I'm not just talking 1 or 2 runs either. Just today at lunch I was playing Mets vs Reds and I had Pedro on the hill and after the 2nd inning they lead 5-1 with 9 hits and 1 HR by Dunn off the scoreboard at Shea. I'm not really shutting down the CPU unless I have a #1 or #2 going. Other then that they rake on me but not to the tune of 8 runs and 6 HRs a game.Comment

Re: DanSF49's Bad Back Opening Day Sliders
By the way I'm loving the new pitching sliders I have posted. The Reds Arroyo was pitching aganist me and after the 3rd inning he had 52 pitches thrown 25 balls and 27 strikes and walked 3 guys. I'm really starting to think that when the throw strikes sliders are all at 0 the game doesn't recognize it or something, now with a few at 5 and the corner slider up at 75 things are looking much much better.Comment
